Xbox 360

Well it certainly didn't take long for Famitsu to start putting lots of images of Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 in their pages, and for some reason I'm not surprised at all. All these images seem to be from the trailer. The 360 game this week was Culdcept Saga. It may look like a Dreamcast game, but keep in mind that the PS2 version was still stuck in 2D!

why not just add in HDR or Pixel shader 3.0 into their games? and you get a next gen without even working...

HDR is one thing (well, in fact it's many things), but "adding" Pixel Shader 3.0 means absolutely nothing. Shaders are just a programable way to render a pixel/vertex using the GPU. It doesn't make the game magically prettier. And putting normal/parallax maps on things takes a lot of time, and Omiya Soft is a very small developer.
I'm already happy because they managed to get the game in 3D.

I bet the sales for the 360 will jump at least 3x when DOAX2 releases.

I agree, but the cutscene animation was really bad in the MP trailer, the actually board and monster models looked pretty cool and some of the chracter art is very nice, if only they could sort the playstation 1 style movement out in the cutscenes i would be a happy person.

Hopefully that come launch this game will have ironed out some of those problems, it looks like it's guna be a cool game though.

Is that in the second scan character customization ? I hope so because the main character's hair style really gets on my nerves.. lol

I think so as well because if rumble roses managed to increase sales then so will this.

Also Ninja Gaiden if exclusive will MOST DEFINETLY help Microsoft in japan. What they need to do is hold on to those key franchises because if they lose the next ninja gaiden as an exclusive I know its coming to 360, but it HAS to stay exclusive or they are in trouble.

I hope in Microsoft's pursuit for new franchises they don't lose key franchises such as ninja gaiden. Also itagaki said in a 1up interview recently that it doesn't take the whole team to work on doax2 and the others are working currently to get ryu up to speed aka ninja gaiden 2 ;)

Blim, can you put Culdcept Saga trailer from XBL over here when you find time. Heard it's pretty bad but still want to see it.

It's a card based game where you use monster based cards to defeat your opponent, you progress along a board meeting enemies on the way and battling it out with the cards you have in your deck, seems this one has a story to it also.

This thing is so big a guy in japan lost a crucial game in some tournament and pulled out a revolver and shot about a dozen people.

No joke it has a really cult following in japan... they take it extremely serious. If they are true fans they will get this game. This should sell some units in japan seriously.

Hey i just thought this has a really cool potential for online play..

Card battles across XBL i'm up for that .. and they could add new card packs over the market place..

I doubt they will, i should make my own game one day :P

Yeah, play it online and if some dude beats you there is an option to declare "Shenanigans" which causes you to flip the table and pull out a revolver, basically turning it into an impromptu FPS.
