Xbox 360

Famitsu spent two pages about Culdcept Saga this week, and the game looks really promising. Can't wait for a new trailer of this one!

never been into card based battle games before, always was a fan of turn based JRPGS.. Even baton kaitos for the gamecube used card battles, but was free foaming.

Might give this game a try though, looks beautiful and the art style as always fro JRPGs is stunning

the art style is beautiful (ala Kingdom Hearts) but damn, even Kingdom Hearts, a PS2 game, pawns the graphics in this game...im superficial when it comes to games..unless its a JRPG, the graphics is the first thing i look at, if that doesnt look good, i move on.

I'm amazed how closely the 3D models resemble the 2D art.

Well you have probably missed out on a lot of very good games then.

But Kingdom Hearts in no way pawns this, Kingdom Hearts graphics are extremely polygonal and have very bland textures most of the time.

Each to their own though.

im shure many will disagree with you on that, Kingdom Hearts looks better than this, especially for being a PS2 game

You completely missed his point. This game isn't about graphics, even with simple 2d graphics its still a huge game in Japan and incredibly fun to play. This is the first time the game is being done completely in 3d, and looking at the PS2 version to the 360 version there is a huge step up in graphics. This is also being developed by a small team, you can't expect them to make revolutionary graphics on thier first try. You are missing out on alot of great games if you judge them on graphics first as most games may look great but end up playing like crap.

It's definitely a good jump for the series though, as the first Culdcept for the PS2 looked like a slightly more advanced SNES game, and even that was pushing it. It's definitely got great gameplay though, and that's what really counts.

Kingdom Hearts < FFXII < Silent Hill .. so on .. if everybody could make amazing graphics dont think they would????? (not talking about style here kids.. just graphic level) ... But .. the undeniable fact is that culdcept has a very large fan-base in japan wither Xion likes it or not ..and therefore ..there is public to small developers who cant afford graphics..

To put in perspective .. would you say Blair Witch was inferior to Underworld Evolution because UnderWorld Evolution has better special FX and expensive actors? ... sounds even stupider in cinema...

no one gets my point here..im not saing Culdpret Saga is bad or anything of the sort, ive never played it (well it doesnt interest me at all) i just said the graphics are better in Kingdom Hearts, and you guys disagree with me, so i continue with my opinion, but you guys now seem to change the subject and now you are talkin like i was saying the game sucks, when if you read my posts, cleraly im only talking about the graphics.

No you said the game doesn't interest you because it doesn't look as good as Kingdom Hearts 2. (or have the same graphical fidelity)

And people are pointing out that if you have that kind of opinion that you will miss out on a lot of good games.

It becomes a bigger deal when more and more people think the same as you and the game doesn't get a chance.

After all if this game sold well then maybe the next sequel would have better production values. (you have to support small companies in order for them to grow, I would sooner support this company than i would EA)

the big turn off for this game is the the gameplay, not the graphics, i like turn based RPGs, if im correct, this is a card based game right?
