SHADOW OF THE ETERNALS LAUNCHES KICKSTARTER JOINED BY WORLD-RENOWNED ACTOR DAVID HAYTER

Voice Behind Metal Gear Solid's 'Solid Snake' Plays Lead Character as Precursor Listens to Fan Feedback and Adds PlayStation®4 Stretch Goal

Ontario, Canada – July 25, 2013 – Indie developer Precursor Games is proud to announce that world-renowned actor and writer David Hayter (Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid series) will officially lend his iconic voice to the lead character in Shadow of the Eternals, the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, as the studio kicks off its newly improved Kickstarter campaign www.ShadowOfTheEternals.com/Kickstarter today.

“Playing the role of Paul Becker will be a blast as he is both complex and conflicted,” said David Hayter. “I intend to provide gamers with a provocative and memorable experience on the roller coaster ride that is Shadow of the Eternals."

Support Shadow of the Eternals and see the Kickstarter video HERE.

The new Shadow of the Eternals Kickstarter campaign boasts a refined set of financial tiers and concrete goals that are easy and accessible. Precursor Games’ financial goal of $750,000 provides a fully complete, 8-10 hour action-adventure game steeped in psychological horror for PC and Wii U. And now, as Precursor Games is an officially licensed PlayStation®4 developer, the team has added the next-gen console as a stretch goal.

Kickstarter backers are all invited into the “Order of the Unseen,” an elite group of fans whose goal is to participate in designing the game through a unique community-driven model, by working directly with the developers.

Shadow of the Eternals is a single-player, story-driven action-adventure steeped in psychological horror that is the spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GameCube, 2002). The game weaves historical fact with disturbing fiction, centered around a Louisiana detective whose fate is somehow linked to the true story of the infamous Blood Countess Erzsébet Báthory in 17th century Hungary.

Developed by Precursor Games, Shadow of the Eternals is expected to launch in fall 2014 on PC and Wii U. For more information about Shadow of the Eternals, please visit www.ShadowOfTheEternals.com, follow the game on Twitter ShadowEternals or ‘Like’ the game on Facebook.

Knowing their history, and how other Kickstarters have delivered, very likely.

Dyack has too big of an ego to pull a scam, i don't doubt that the game will be terrible though.

With dyack behind this i find it hard to both trust them, and be excited. Silicone knights literally produced NOTHING of worth. Even the likes of eternal darkness where shoddy games.

This is...odd. Is it just me or is Dyack gaining a reputation of taking perfectly serviceable game engines and making them look, underwhelming? I mean, this is Cryengine right? Why does it not look so hot? Some of the texturework needs, well, work. The faces look dead, body animations stiff. I know that they're targeting WiiU and that will inherently require some compromise, but aren't all those things cornerstones of Cryengine? Wonder if they'll wind up trying to sue Crytek because they couldn't get this game to look good in the same way they somehow couldn't wrap their minds around UE3 for Too Human...

This new video player is awful. Doesn't work for me :( If I stop the video and let it download more content it plays in 1fps. Quality is poor. Why did you switched with the old one? :/

Can't comment on game cause I couldn't stream it properly...

it's HTML5 based, so it now works on tablets and phones, i have no issue with it on any device i use, windows phone, surface pro, ipad, PC...it's a lot better imo. sites caught up with the changing times. prior to the change in player, i had to find out a video had been released, then go looking elsewhere to actually play it since the player was so iOS unfriendly

Dyack needs to eat shit and die, I would not touch this with a ten foot pole and I can't believe these desparate losers are doing another crowdfunding campaign literally moments after failing one.

If the project had any worth Nintendo would back them but even they stepped back, probably with a flashback about how the only remotely quality titles they ever wrung out of the fat turd were only accomplished with nintendo and Konami breathing down his neck...
