Thanks as always fellas.

The writing was so bad / bland / boring in the second game of the reboot, hopefully this picks it up.
Liking the setting.

I am looking forward to it!
I felt the last one was pretty weak in terms of story, though the graphics were amazing! It got into unnecessary subject matter by trying to handle religion stuff which ultimately felt like a pretty shallow and superficial treatment of it anyway. Almost felt like TR was turning into an Assassins Creed game. Hopefully this one is back on track and is more like the first one! I loved the part in TR Underworld where you visited the southern mexico place.

I still don't understand why devs use CGI or Live Action trailers to unveil a game. We know it doesn't look like that, it's mentioned in the trailer. Why make a movie trailer for a game?
I like the setting though. It will take a lot of rendering power to make the jungle look really good if it's still semi-sandbox.
I think its to build hype and catch the attention! Look at StarCraft games. The game-play is nowhere close to what it looks in the cinematic trailers/cut-scenes. BUT, it does catch your eye.

The return of the Lara Croft with curves. I seen the trailer for the live action movie adaptation of Tomb Raider, and it hurt my soul. They got Lara Croft shaped like a 13 year old boy, running in the woods. For a second I thought it was Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" music video.

loool! harsh :)!! Personally, I just can't see the facial resemblance of the TR reboot Lara and Alicia Vikander. Even Gemma Atherton, off the top of my head, looks more like the reboot Lara.....

???

the trilogy is supposed to be a prequel to the old TR games. with it being said, they already remade the original TR games with TR Anniversary.

SE could bring back the old TR with Laggy controls after the trilogy.... and then everyone will probably give the trilogy more recognition.

I was talking about the movie Lara Croft mostly. Now if they REALLY want recognition, then Lara Croft needs to mature up her game. I'm talking nudity, strong sexual content, with a dash of explicit violence. Even the game cover should be of Lara's raw naked ass. In other words I want some perfection.

I want to say I'm hoping this is a case of "third times the charm". But who am i kidding. After rise of the tomb raider we all know this is going to be mediocre as hell.

They'll have a bunch of secondary characters we're supposed to give a crap about...but don't because they're poorly written, unlikable carboard cut outs. Why Jonah even returned in rise is beyond me. He was pointless.

It'll have a bunch of repetitive combat scenarios that you can breeze through with your bow due to the all new tactical warhead arrow tips since it's the only thing that weapon didn't do.

It'll have tombs randomly interspersed offering no challenge at all.

And it's story will be garbage.

Prove me wrong eidos montreal...prove me wrong!

no point, there's already pc MODs of that. and it just makes better sense to separate it into fan-fiction.

Pretty sure it's going to be good. with larger maps. the story seems to be taking place back in the jungle too.

when the series wraps up i hope they move onto a Soul Reaver Remake.......Ah, i know i'm dreaming though... :(

That sounds prudishly boring. I'm not talking about cheap thrills of a PC mod nude patch, or some lame teenybopper fan fiction. I'm talking about Lara Croft as a fully complex adult woman, who has sexual urges. Why is this so widely accepted in movies, but frowned apon for video games. I want my Rated M for Mature games to truly be as such! Jeah.

But isn't this more like your projection of a woman and what it means to be mature :)?

In my humble opinion, we don't need to see everything about a character. For an example, I am sure Lara has to go to the toilet. But doesn't mean that I want to see that. Her trips to the toilet are not that important, and dare I say it, neither are her bedroom antiques or sexual urges lol.

Somethings are best left out to say a good story! Also, there are plenty of adult women who do not define themselves in terms of their sexual urges or pay much attention to that side.

In regards to movies, why should we consider movies to be the gold standard? Many would argue that movies have gone wrong in trying to show too much anyway.

At the end of the day, the movie isn't about the exploration of sexual urges of Lara Croft. It is a movie about how Lara Croft becomes a world class tomb raider, archaeologist, hunter, combatant, survivor etc. To that end, I don't really see any benefit to showing what you want to see lol!
