Alan Wake made in Unreal Engine.
You took the words out of my mouth. I am getting a strong Alan Wake vibe too which is a very good thing. At the end of the day, Alan wake does recapture some of the atmosphere of the original Silent Hill too.

I really cant wait for this to come out :)

Looks alright but if it's the same turnips making this that made Origins and Shattered Memories i'm not going to get excites just yet. But again, it looks nice enough.

Police woman and prisoner guy makes me think of awkward forced romance subplot though. Me no like.

This reminds me so much of Alan Wake. ...which I just finished this week (BTW) and it was AWESOME. I'm playing the DLC now and they're also tripping my mind out with how it all wraps around each other. I saw the images for Silent Hill a few months ago, before I had Alan Wake, and I still thought "Wow- those look a lot a like", but now it's unavoidable. I loved the old Silent Hill games on PS1, but I lost interest in them a long while ago. Alan Wake got me really loving the mood and setting again but these images are really inspiring and beautiful. I must admit though, I feel like I should see Alan's flashlight somewhere on the screen!

Definetly reminds me of Alan Wake, which I think is a good direction for the Silent Hill series.

I'd rather this be like silent hill then alan wake (which i didnt like that much aside from it's controls) i mean, it's silent hill after all. but I'm not getting my hopes up either way. silent hill has gone down hill since 4. homecoming wasn't great, shattered memories was just completely tentionless. I'd like it to be good, obviously, but the odds are stacked against it atm.

nah, 3 was great. plus a direct sequel to 1 which was nice. 2 IS by far the best tho. but that's becaseu it focused much more on characterisation. newer silent hill games? not so much.

Yeah, SH2 is arguably the best entry in the series, 3 was a bit worse, 4 was pretty bad and the games after were just plain bad imo. Shattered memories had a few nice ideas but compelte shit execution. All in all, i still think it's fair to say that it's been spiraling downwards since 2, just remember that there are steps along the way to the bottom of the barrel ;)

This shit is getting real old. People are such whiny bastards. It looks good, the color scheme fits the scenes and the only thing i think you'd might have an issue with is the ridiculous amount of bloom and the reddish sunset type light in a few of the screens.

Silent Hill games got old LONG ago. The first one was great though. The graphics haven't changed much unfortunately from the past few iterations. Looks kinda like an Alan Wake wannabe this time around

Silent Wake. Not interested. Doesn't look scary in the slighted. Let the series die already.

*sigh*

Looks like this game will be a Silent Hill game, not that other Silent Hill wannabe we got last time. Loved Silent Hill all the series till The Room -it was an OK game, but after series went downhill IMO. And what's up with all the - "looks like Alan Wake etc etc"? Seriously this game looks great, and even if it does look similar to Alan Wake that doesn't mean a thing. Most developers use or "copy" others ideas in games anyway.

I can't wait to get it, I'm so tired of FPS and shooters that I really need a good adventure game and I love SH so hopefully this one will be good. It looks great, judging by the screens I've seen so far, good atmosphere.

The new Silent Hill looks more promising than the new Resident Evil. I am hating the new high-tech aspect of Operation Raccoon City. The new SH is looking like Alan Wake and you know what? It's fine by me! I loved AW and and I love SH franchise. It was always about the atmosphere of the game and AW did it , so did SH franchise! Can't wait!
