Silent Hill: Downpour has already been released in North America but Europeans will only get their hands on this new installment developed by Vatra Games next week. Despite some unexplainable technical issues which will clearly keep some players away from it, this new episode in the series is quite promising in terms of atmosphere. Sure, when playing Downpour, we did not feel the agonizing sense of fear and unease the first three games conveyed, but it nonetheless has its moments and if you can get passed the terrible framerate, you will discover a game in which sadness and horror go hand in hand. The story will keep you interested until the end and it will take you around 10 hours or so to complete - provided you try to complete a few of the game's optional side quests. A game definitely worth trying if Homecoming was a disappointment to you.
