Trailer Wii

Despite what Nintendo wants us to believe, there are games coming on the Wii. Real games, and good ones too. The most representative of them is undoubtedly Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, a new version of the series' first episode. Gameplay finely tuned for the Wiimote, beautiful visuals and oppressive athmosphere, this title will obviously be a must-buy, as we can see in this long trailer.

Like it's written in the "about the game" box. As for this trailer, it's the Wii version trailer.

Well since the wii version is build around the fact that you manipulate a wiimote, yeah, it makes a difference.

looks better than I expected. Technically speaking, looks crap (like almost every Wii game does) but it could be interesting. The first SH is my favourite horror game ever so I hope this re-imagining is at least decent enough.
I loved Homecoming by the way, I think it´s a very underrated game.

I had hoped it would look at least as good as Silent Hill 3; seeing as how this is Gamecube hardware (well, basically) and the gorgeous SH3 was done on the PS2. But, then again, the waggle must be using a lot of that processing power...

Also, I would've like them to use the same character model for Harry. With the glasses, this guy looks more like SH3's Vincent.

IR pointer has low processor overhead waggle has high overhead (gesture recognition) this game seems to mainly ir, whats probably eating processor cycles is the the dynamic lightsource (flashlight) other than that seems a good looking game for an sd console i dont see what people are complaning about, the hd Silent hill was not exponentially more atmospheric just cause it was running on ps360 and thats what counts ultimately, can wii convey the silent hill atmosphere.

Well, of course, that is more a failing of the developer rather than the hardware. A SH game on PlayStation 3 developed by the original members of Team Silent (Toyama, Sato, Tsuboyama, Yamaoka, et al.)... it's hardly possible now, but until Konami stops outsourcing the series to Western devs, I don't think they'll ever be able to recapture that "Silent Hill atmosphere" again. I mean, that was the partly the appeal of the original game, a Japanese take on Western horror.
