this is nothing simular to the older SC games, if you are SC fan or a stealth fan, u might be gissapointed with all those changes, but the game its still fun to play

I played the old splinter cell titles, didn't beat any of them, but I've fallen in love with this game thanks to the demo.

I'm buying it day one!

quote from the video "we took a lot of risks when we approached the design " - and obviously pissed of stealth fans and most splinter cell fans

"we came up with a whole bunch of design elements that have never been done in any other (splinter cell)game " - thrown out stealth out of the game and added RUN AND GUN!!!

R.I.P. splinter cell

Make sure to give it a few tries RAPTOR, and make sure to play on Realistic. Also, try for stealth; don't play in a way that gets you caught in fire fights. I think a lot of people have been playing poorly and blaming the game for their own mistakes.

Will do,thanks for the advice,I will play it stealthy, the way I played the first always trying to not get detected, only if there is absolutly no way of doing it of course.

Anyway, gameplay is what will keep me in or out of the game and if it is tight and responsive and awesome thats all I need.

The only issue I had with the gameplay had to do with the control layout. Left bumper is your crouch/stand button, and B is your melee takedown button. To me, that just doesn't make a ton of sense, so I had to spend a bit of time getting used to it.

In addition to playing it stealthy, I also find it fun to play it offensively but very efficiently...planning your attack in order to dispatch as many enemies as possible in the shortest amount of time. If done well, it's quite satisfying to take out a bunch of guys in the blink of an eye without giving them much time to react at all.

exactly my thought, if they wanted to try something different then change the character and the title, that would make more sens and the game would have been alot more interesting for everyone

don't be asinine. Same shit with banjo nuts & bolts wich is a great game in it's own merits and a Good banjo at it. the core is solid, and the interisting world & characters just give the better crust to the concept.

If Sams gone rogue, then it suits well with the new concept.

by the way, hubba hubb, she's hot: http://images.gamersyde.com/image_splinter_cell_co...

It's very possible to go undetected, I've done it many times. Therein lies the beauty of this game. It's a new kind of stealth game that feels even more difficult than past splinter cell titles if you wish to go pure stealth.

Some think this game represents the death of splinter cell, I think it's leaning towards a proper re-invention of the series, while still possessing strong aspects of its roots. Also, before when Sam worked for Third Echelon, he had a code to abide by. This time, however, he doesn't have any rules restricting him.

The controls aren't even that bad, I got used to them after the first time playing through the game. The game is going to be great based on the demo imo and some of you are really affected by some of the features taken out. Like duhhhh why the **** would Sam need to hide bodies if he is in IDGAF mode and he is on a revenge path. There aren't no alarms...he aint workin for 3rd echelon so he dont gotta watch his step, and by the doing that he doesnt care bout hiding bodies. His whole attitude is..see your buddy dead...mess with me and your next. Thats why he kills everything he sees, killing was practically the same as knocking someone out in the previous titles. It aint like MGS where you knock someone out and they get back up shortly, in SC you knock em out they are practically dead in the game unless their buddy came along. You all need to stop ******** and just enjoy the new experience because the game has attracted so many more people so the game won't sell bad because it won so many awards at e3 and places that have done hands on have praised the game. You all are getting worked up over damn SvM being gone to sum it up...thats the real deal because I bet if that mode was still in half of you wouldn't even care bout the new Sam.

Ya reading this Dr. P lol....yup I hope you read it lol.

God damn, at least play the demo more than once...or watch some people play it properly. If you think run and gun is the only way to play the game(something you could do in Chaos Theory...), then it's probably best you don't play the game lest I get partnered up with you online.

i think some people here are missing the point, the demo i played it was lots of fun, i played it more tyhen 8 times, trying different things, and i know that this game feels freesh and different, but what i will miss is the old SC mechanics, and am sure soon people will want the old Sam back, bc the gameplay mechanics where spot on, and the game feelt more stealth.
i know thay developers made those changes on perpose to match the Sam story (& to get more new gamers;)$$$
but like i said old school SC fans want't be happy with all this changes.
