Xbox 360 PS3

Snoopers and Bryan got *very* lucky yesterday and got invited to a visit at Lucasarts great offices near the Golden Gate Bridge yesterday, and went back with a nice interview (coming in a few hours) and some official videos of Star Wars: Force Unleashed, along with an image gallery.

Very cool..can't wait to watch the video..but I'm curious about one thing and this might be explained in the game when it's released but why are all of the Apprentice's enemies storm troopers? If he is Vaders secret apprentice, then he should be hunting/hurting/killing the enemies of the Empire?

looks good but, one thing i dont like, is all the objects seem in slow motion when they are tossed into the air. they kinda 'float' around.

Seems pretty interesting however will the story be cliche?. I feel that the force powers will be fun .. for a while we've all played games which components are fun but ware of after a while, Hope theres plenty of other features and not just force powers that push this game.

Well at one point the storm troopers were all clones and they were supposed to be the good guys. Maybe it's something like trying to subdue the Old Republic.

I really like what I see from both the graphics and the physics, I kind of hope that you're aren't just fighting defenseless dumb enemies all the time, too many games like that these days.

Yeah there is something weird about it that doesn't quite add up in most of the scenes. Like the explosion in the beginning

I want to see them use the lightsaber already
Also I hope the lightsaber can have as much of an impressive effect as they are planning for the force powers

He's the *secret* apprentice. He's not supposed to leave any witnesses.
Besides that, I don't think they've made any secret of the fact that you at least have the option to turn to the light side.

exactly but people seem to also forget storm troopers have been both on the good and the bad side during the starwars saga

Why in gods name is he holding the sword BEHIND his back? Nobody is bad enough dude to fight like that and it actually just looks ridiculous... Just make him hold the sword in more normal way pleease?

Yeas I realize it's supposed to look cool and badass but cmon... behind his back... Maybe he should just put his hand between his legs from behind and fight like that.

I agree. It looks cool but can you really fight realisticlly/effectively that way?

But it also seems that the Lightsaber is defantly his "second" weapon. It's all about the Force. The lightsaber seems more like a knife if someone gets to close.

Is it just me that is bothered by this... or what.

Seems that Luke, Vader, Kenobi in the New Hope, Empire, and ROTJ, are all underpowered wimpy Jedi compared to the prequel Jedi.

And it seems like now there is another one upmanship here with this game. I think this Jedi depicted in this game could make short work of any of the other Jedi in the movies.

Tone down the abilities... bending metal, ripping trees apart, c'mon.

I'll take a Dark Forces FPS anyday above this voodoo/overpowered/magic reimagining of Jedi anyday.

I think the female jedi with the tonfa sabers that have been shown is even more silly. Sure, it looks kinda cool, but it is pretty much impossible to use tonfas without brushing them against yourself occasionally, which would be suicidal with light saber blades.

Luke only had very little training from Obi Wan and Yoda. Obi Wan was not only an old man in A New Hope but probably hadn't kept up his training. And Vader was basically on life support (his suit) and had bionic limbs so couldn't use Force Lightning. He was still pretty poweful though, remember all the stuff he Force threw at Luke near the end of The Empire Strikes Back? Also at first this Sith Apprentice may seem overpowered but remember Palpatine/Darth Sidious, he threw Senate pods at Yoda like they were frisbees! And Yoda himself was able to catch Count Dooku's Force Lightning and throw it back, deflect large objects that Count Dooku Force threw as well as flooring 2 Imperial Guards with a gesture when he walks into Palpatine's room. Not to mention him raising Luke's X-Wing out of the swamp in The Empire Strikes Back. So the Force isn't really exaggerated in games and the first 2 Clone Wars series, you just get to see it used more.

Corellianrogue provides a decent explanation.

I offer a solution: don't be a nerd about it; just enjoy it.
