Xbox 360 PS3

Ubisoft finally released the first teaser video of Assassin's Creed 2, showing about nothing but still confirming that the game may more than likely happen during Da Vinci's time.

More like viral marketing or something in those lines.

E3 is gonna be a fun time.

loved the feel of the first one and if they learn from what was done wrong in the previous and listen to the community (which I'm sure they will) then this'll be great :D

Why so critical? Maybe we wait and see what they have come up with instead of whining about the previous version.

I hope they design of the main character is as great as Altair was, one of my favorite game character designs.

A few things they need to add for AC2 is MUCH more variety in the missions and to be able to skip the damn cutscenes because they were long and incredible boring after a while.

But the mood and feel was fantastic in my opinion.

According to leaked info of AC2 and the teaser the game is gonna be in Italy, hence the teasers DaVinci art.

I can't wait to see more of AC2, I personally consider AC being Ubisoft best franchise yet.

I never see the point of teasers especially when the titles have already been announced (i.e. we know its coming! how about some screens! etc. etc.), but it was nicely done anyway.

Why do companies keep releasing these absolutely pointless trailers?
If they have no game to show then dont waste their time and ours with these rediculous pieces of video cause they do nothing but frustrate.

It's like a movie releasing a trailer that just has the title of the movie, no footage from it, just a video of the title panning across the screen.

These aren't art, they aren't interresting, they aren't fun, they aren't informative and they aren't working. Come back when you have a game to show us.

They are giving you hints as to what the game will be like. Obviously this is late 15/early 16th century Italy as evident by the Da Vinci references. I don't think it's too much to ask for a developer to ask it's audience to THINK and analyze. There were several things revealed if you went through the Modern Warfare 2 teaser.

On Topic: Love this. Sequel to my favorite new franchise of this generation.

Don't waste your time on watching a teaser if you see it pointless and don't waste your time commenting about it...samething.

Even though they announced it, they want the the teasers out so they keep us wanting more until they are ready to release screenshots.

E3 is in June, they will probably show something more than this teaser before it or on E3.
Some info is that AC2 will be on the next Game Informer issue, probably a front page.

PS. What FormlessLikeWater said.

Why do companies keep releasing these absolutely pointless trailers?
Because most of the die hard fans love those kind of teasers. They just give you a tid bit of info to get the speculation going; For example; The next one will/might be around the time of DaVinci.

Cod Modern Warfare 2; You didn't see much but some people who are really interested in it came up with some really interesting ideas / guesses about what the next game will / may be about;

quote from some members on this forum;

"the subtle montage of still images at the end actually reveal a fair bit if you look closely...MH6 "little birds" and what looked like some zodiac boats I have a very strong suspicion that the delta force and SEALS will be putting in an appearance"

and

"I hear Japanese. I hear an airport"

Might be not interesting to you but some of the hardcore fans might find it interesting and this will start speculation, it will get people talking about the new game.

----

Me myself for instance, I'm really hyped about Diablo III and while a teaser or theatrical trailer might not be interesting for some people. I really want to see/read even the tiniest bit of info I can get about the game...

What they need to do is take out those segments where they lock you in a room to listen to a bunch of retarded people talk on and on. The animus portion of the game were horrible. They should just make it so you accidentally get stuck in the other dimension for the majority of the game.

I'm not even going to go near this if it's as repetitive as AC1 was.

Same.

Though, I'm still interested in seeing what they can come up with...atleast tech-wise. Perhaps some smooth animation transitions this time? If there's a game out there that might take a half-decent attempt at that, it would be this game me thinks.

I've gotta disagree with you guys on this. There's much better ways that they could create hype and "get people talking". I think the movie industry is doing a much better job with teaser trailers right now. One of the few game teasers that I did actually like recently was for Mass Effect 2.

I look forward to finding out more on this. First one had some great combat and platforming and I gotta believe they'll address the repititive mission issue this time.

Maybe we'll see some sort of primitive flying/gliding device in the game... I mean, they show one in the teaser...

looking forward to this, first was repetative, but still very good, loved the story. i assume the sequel will still follows desmond, and they are simply unlocking yet more memories that have been passed along through his bloodline?

i realise it wont be altair since it's a different time period, but im hoping desmond is still involved since he was kinda left hanging as far as closure is concerned.

Pretty cool. Ok, doesn't reveal much but some it actually does. I see the wrist blade is back. I also see some sort of wings. Possible contractable. Maybe we can do silent gliding kills. Gliding from hights to street level. That would be neat...

looking forward to learn more about this.

I thought AC2 would be in ancient Japan this time around with the whole analyzing one site did in the end of AC with all the words and symbols...etc.

It would be nice to see ancient Japan with samurais and ninjas as assassins, emperors...etc. very nice, hopefully for AC2 if they can make something happen with that time era.

I just hope the game doesn't end up as a weird nonsense cliffhanger like AC1, I hated that.

Droezelke...don't forget the new crap they made, Prince of Persia.
