Tekken 6, in its arcade version, is back after last week's scans via these gallery of 27 images. And even with all the Tekken stuff going on (one doesn't have to like all these strange looking colored impacts), it certainly looks good.
As a die hard Tekken fan, I must say i'm a bit disappointed in the graphics.
One would think the PS3 is capable of a lot more graphical power?
Screens and previous movies show stuff that could possibly run on the PS2 imo.
Only real difference are the souped up ingame cutscenes and better use of particles.
But I'm sure it plays great as always. And that's what counts!
p.s. And I can digg the fat guy. anything better then Dr. Boskonovitch!! 0_o
Kinda hard to judge on such small pictures, aren't there any 720 or 1080p pictures out there?
btw: any news on sound improvement, can't help but feel that old Tekken had kind of muted sound effects compared to other fighters out there, and the lack of rumble doesn't help.

o.O the simple addition of bumpmaps are far more then what the ps2 could acheive.

It's an issue of development time. Again, I've heard that every character is returning, so trying to model them all in stunning detail, and designing all those accessories, etc, would take FOREVER. They obviously cut a few corners in the graphics, but if you look at Tekken Tag and Tekken 5 you know it will get better over time.
I think it's strange; considering the time namco had to develop this.
anyone can remember that teaser movie back at e3 (2005?) of Jin showing off his armor and gloves.
That really got me hyped.
And now all we see is tekken 5.5
Or am I missing something here? Huge multilevel, destructible arena's? a tsunami of options and gamemodes? Let's hope so
The screens are taken from the official Japanese site. It's the highest res, obviously. By the way, I'm not liking these new watermarks... the little "XY" was much less intrusive.
hmm. this game looks better than i thought, it used to look ugly. But seriously WTF is up wit that big fatass dude? He shouldnt be pulling off some of those moves he's doing i dont even think its possible.
WOW. i just finished lookin at the screenshots and ppl r really hating on them!! I thought they looked awesome, like surprisingly. And I hated all the other newer Tekken games, im surprised even the Tekken fans are bashing these!
I hope a special version of it is ported over to the 360. I would like to play the VF, DOA, and Tekken series all on one system. Note on the graphics, not the best next gen fighter graphics wise ,but so much better then Soul Calibur 4 so far.
well VF5 beats it in graphics and gameplay, but i guess this will have better music as usual since sega arcade games have woeful music, the last decent tekken was number 3

very few with religious beliefs are naive or zealots, but for sure don't find amusing their beliefs being thrown in for clout. maybe STFU with that discourse? (2 Weeks ago)

Pretty sure Loakum was making fun of religious naive people who thought that God and Trump have a good connection. And the most recent "Bruh..." means "Bruh, don't you get my sarcasm?" (3 Weeks ago)

Looks better than DOA4 and VF5, and DOA is my favorite fighting game.
