Sony and Ready At Dawn unveil more of The Order: 1886 with new screenshots and some details about the game. Get everything inside.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive title melts history, fantasy, mythology and science-fiction.

The story is written by Ru Weerasuriya and Kirk Ellis and is set in a 19th century London where members of The Order continue to fight the half-breeds who started the conflict a thousand years ago. But a new conflict starts, this time from citizens who are angry and unhappy with the inequality.
The main character is Sir Galahad but the other members (Lady Igraine, Marquis de Lafayette, Sir Percival) of The Order are also introduced to the players.

Regarding the arsenal, the images depict the arc gun, which need to be charged to fire a bolt of electricity, effective at long range and against armoured enemies. The frag grenades can be used as proximity mines by deploying a spike. The Thermite rifle fires bullets "of condensed aluminium iron oxide" while its secondary fire delivers a superheated flare. If you need some space, the Combo gun will send a concussive burst of compressed air and a rifle barrel is attached.

The game is coming in 2014.

saw these images in gameinformer. looking NICE. really dig the victorian era style.

it's around the time of jack the ripper too, so i hope he appears as some sort of freak mutation version...that'd be sweet.

EDIT : also, please let this be 4 player co-op. it makes so much sense it's painful.

In that article the GameInformer journalist also said that they proved that with some adjustments in lightning, filters and effects, the in-game visuals were the same as those of the E3 2013 CG trailer, which is mind blowing.

I'm definitely excited for this game and can't wait to see a in-game footage trailer. (Where's a leaked video when you need one. :P)

I thought that that article said they literally were able to pause the trailer and move the camera around and such because the trailer was all real time in engine?

i'm thinking it'd make for a pretty cool live demo during the VGA's at the end of the year.

It looks great, I just hope it's not another boring mindless shooter where you're killing stuff all the time. And I wish there was no multiplayer but who am I kidding, it will surely have co-op, it's the sign of the times.

You mean the trailer at E3 that was all in-game graphics as suggested at the start of the trailer? Yeah we knew that.

You got me there, kinda of forgot about "The following trailer was created in-engine" part at the start of the trailer, I see that in almost all games videos now that my brain automatically bypass those parts - not to mention how much marketing/PR BS say it, without it actually being true, still it's my fault. Sorry.

I really remembered it being a CG, don't know why. ~slaps own brain~

Right now I just watched it again - The HQ full trailer version from Gamersyde, link below - and it looks f*cking amazing, to think that all that is in-game footage. Jesus Christ!!!

Totally off-topic, but now I want a GTA V and RDR HD remake for PS4/XBO. :D

the game looks amazing, I am particularly interesting on the info that the game uses soft physics engine, I cant waait to see that in motion.

I also cant wait to discover what naughty dog are doing with ps4 (using extensively the GPGPU capaibilities) they have a lot of stress, they cant afford to disappoint, everyone is looking at them to start properly REAL NEXT GEN GAMES. not just better graphics

I want a HD Collection of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas next November for San Andreas' 10th Anniversary. ^_^
Ya alot of people are blown away by this. Even the haters saying things like that its a stupid CGI trailer :) I think they will be in for a shock the most.
Hopefully they will release the demo that was shown to Gameinformer soon since the screens are officially available to all now.

The last 2 screens are really nice, the environments and minor AA hit and miss but nitpicking aside the lighting and character models are wonderful. I hope this has a very gears of war approach to co op campaign and some version of horde mode, that would make me far more interested. But the atmosphere from what little they are showing seems great.

When games like this come along, EVERYONE who can afford it should buy it. Makes developers realize that new IPs are worth investing in. Now I have to find money in my budget for 2 next gen consoles!!!
