Here is a four-minute look at the investigation system of The Sinking City, the upcoming Lovecraftian game from Frogwares, the studio behind the Sherlock Holmes games. The players control Charles Reed in the streets of Oakmont in the '20s and are tasked with investigating the reasons behind the madness and supernatural elements present in the town. No hints or assistance can help the players, they have to rely on exploration and their own observation to discover clues. The Retrocognition ability allows to replay past scenes.

Finished all Frogware Sherlock Holmes games. The cases vary and are hit and miss in quality but it's such a niche genre I'll take what I can get.
Having said that it's hard to justify a purchase as it feels like it'll be on Plus or Game Pass not long after launch.

While I've enjoyed the Sherlock games, I feel like they've gotten worse as they go. The last one in particular wasn't good. I felt like the early games were more solid from the detective/puzzle perspective, let down by a lack of technical polish. Whereas now the technical aspects are better but the gameplay within isn't as good.

I'll keep an eye on this. It Is doubtfull i'll be buying it day one though.

Didn't play the Sherlock Holmes games, but this one looks very intriguing.
I'm so happy that in this generation we've somehow moved away from "guns" as the primary interaction device of almost every game. Every developer seems so much more inspired nowadays, it's wonderful.
