As for the puzzles, I doubt it will be that hard to solve a puzzle when I'm in a 3 meter wide corridor with a wooden door and there is a torch mounted next to it with a large flashing icon that says "press X now to grab the torch and burn down the door in order to progress to the next corridor".
I guess I just need to start realizing that there is a new genre of games taking over called "semi-interactive movie". I would probably enjoy them a lot more if I didn't expect to "play" them. Honestly, this thing had immense potential, but is shaping up to be a crushing disappointment.
It looks more immersive over uncharted 3, uncharted 3 made me sleepy after a while.
I'll wait for the reviews and then when I get a chance to play it before i would say such a thing.

Ahh those Six Sense gameplay mechanics like those found in Batman AS and Wolverine - now Lara will have to say the following line in this game - "Shhh, I see dead gamers."
I'm not calling out people who like the direction of the game, just stating my opinion that I don't like games that are overly linear and scripted, with simplified mechanics, and trying too hard to be movies. If you have some gameplay videos that show deep, open exploration and immersive, dynamic gameplay that DOESN'T involve walking down a straight path and doing the only obvious thing available, please share, because everything I have seen has fit that profile...
BTW, no swimming in a game taking place on a flooded ISLAND that begins with your character swimming out of a shipwreck in a game series that has featured water levels heavily is probably the most idiotic game non-feature of the year. That alone should give TR fans plenty to be concerned about...

Atleast God of War 3 had a cheat were you could pick up Hephastus ring after he dies and then turn on the cheat to have auto-QTE, unless its "press O rapidly to attack the enemy". I always have that on, all games should have auto QTE option IF they insist to have QTE in at all. I have ZERO patience to the whole "get ready to press a specific button" its dumb and a cheap way for developers to make gamers interact during a snippet or a regular cutscene.
Any QTE is shit, be it done right or not, its annoying. I rather be much more focused on watching the animations relaxed than have the constant tension to see where on the screen the stupid button prompts show up and I miss other stuff, visually, happening on the screen.

Honestly, I can deal with QTE's if they are just there to spruce up a cut scene (thought I would rather skip it), but when they are actually used as a game mechanic to make it so the developers don't have to make things dynamic and interactive, that is a no go from me.
Far Cry 3 has a great example of this. There is a perk that is unlocked that allows you to sneak up, stab a guy in the back, and then throw a knife at another close by enemy. This is done by following the button prompt to stab him, and then following a prompt and clicking on the other nearby enemy. Hmmm, why not just allow the player to equip a knife (instead of making a QTE weapon), and then have them stab with the attack button, and throw with the attack button when in aim mode. IMO this would be WAY more rewarding to pull of with my own aiming and the ability to miss than it would by simply following prompts and watching it happen. Great game, but some terrible design decisions in there....
I actually dont mind the Far Cry 3 were it shows you to press a button for Takedown and then you CHOOSE if you want to press the throwing knife, for me those are okay.
But anything like God of War were kills, cutscenes, opening doors/chests...etc. were random and multiple buttons has to be pressed or have to mash the buttons is straight up bullshit!
I mean the devs knows we HAVE to open a door, just let us press it ONCE and then let the character just force open it and thats it, no need for us to smash the same button for it.
