Microsoft released this new video of Too Human putting the spotlight on the "coop serving" feature of the game, allowing one player to block an enemy while the other can go kill him safely.

Can't wait for it.
CO-OP = Double Fun :)
Thanks vor the Vid BlimBlim.
10years for a reportedly short dungeon crawler, one thats not only had its much touted 4player co-op selling point cut but also still suffers from framerate problems. If that wasnt bad enough then the antispated norse story line is supposed to lack structure and be frankly not all that interesting according to the IGN preview.
I really cant see this fullfiling the promise of a trilogy..certainly not with microsofts investment should it not sell. The sooner we get a demo the better.
either way nice to see a pretty good looking dungeon crawler, and nice to see people still doing coop which we need more of so many games miss coop and 2 player local multiplayer its depressing.
4player co-op was to be a huge selling point for it, you had him do countless interviews boasting about it...the levels are designed for it (which is why you see nothing but countless empty wide open spaces), they didnt pull it because it was too "caotic", they pulled it because they couldnt get the framerate acceptable enough..and they would no doubt of delayed it for another year if they could. I mean the framerate dips now with just one of you playing...image how it must of been with 4!
I don't understand why I have to see Dyack in every Too Human video. They should concentrate on showcasing the game rather than trying making him a celebrity, which he'll never be. As for the game, I'm not interested as it's just a Diablo clone which i never liked tbh.
And I don't think there's a gaming version of Chris Crocker to back him up.
at the end of the day, the devs have had 10 years to develop this title, both conceptually, story wise etc. and it just doesnt look good for that amount of time spent on it.
Somebody once said that developers translate their personality through their games...this can be seen through Rockstar, bullfrog? (fable), nintendo and the like. SK seem to have such a self rightousness about them, these videos have really done them no favours..as they always appear self important, and stuck up. Dyack is possible the worse possible face to sell this game.. overly serious, not so much to defend their creation because theres love for it...but to simply attack those with concerns about it...when they can only rate it on what SK have shown. If they spent more time actually polishing the game rather than spitting their dummy out, then maybe we would of seen it released last year. So anyway.. my point being that Too Human just doesnt seem to have any personality going for it...theres nothing that stands out.
We really need a demo...but i'd put money on the game hitting the shelves before they release a demo. Infact i woudnt be surprised if they either put a gagging order, or release review copys, after the game hits the shelves... there really is no ora of confidence about it in the press. Its a great shame because i was once looking forward to it...now everytime i see it i cant shake the feeling of Lair/Haze.
i don't know what MS was thinking when they continued to finance this game. denis keeps on saying "people are mis-understanding this game etc", when in reality he failed to deliver on his promise
their initial selling point was that they worked with kojima( excellet story telling) and miyamoto( creative gameplay), then that they where makinfg DMC-type game with cinematics second to hollywood movies ( working with matrix choreograhphers) with simple gameplay mechanics (and not complicated shit we have), then E3 06 disaster, the birth of his long boring diaries, then blame epic for their poor engine, then they switch genre and add co-op
you may think you getting a game, but in reality they are seliing failed vision which isn't even 50% of they promised
I feel the same way about Bioshock AND this game.
I have huge respect for Silicon Knights and I really hope that they could get their compensation for all the work they have done for this.
Also I think that one of the strongest points of this game is going to be the story and finding all the cool cross references to norse mythology. It just haven't been shown or discussed yet as, I have the feeling, that Denis and SK are highly secretive about the lore of the saga.
It's just a hunch, but I hope --for my most aticipated game of the year-- that I am right...
The only criticism I have with the game now, seeing the videos is the animations. I haven't seen any framerate dips yet and, of course, I hope that the game's smooth when it ships.
When it comes to the length of the game, I can only look at it through my all-time-favourit game, Diablo 2. That game can be beaten in about 10 hours or so, too.
This Serving business sounds awesome. Who said that there's no story and cutscenes in co-op? That's kind of a blow.
