2K Games released this 720p-trailer of Amped 3. Looks great, but I still wake up every morning wondering - why the hell did they skip playable Xbox Live support?

Another misconception about this title is that it'd be in any way less "realistic" than previous Amped games. The only thing that's different here is that the game doesn't slap you around as much. A crappy landing won't always make you tumble around for 10 seconds, but it will make you lose the score you were building. The gameplay itself is still exactly the same, only way more developed.
If the decision to take the overly sensitive crashes out of the game makes it less realistic to you then fine, but the game is still 100% Amped, and even if some games journalist blurts out that it's "abandoned its realistic roots and gone arcade" that's just nonsense. I'm a huge fan of Amped and Amped 2 and I've been following this game closely, and I can tell you it's still Amped only less with the nut cracking punishment - which doesn't make scores easier, it just makes the game more inviting to play for a beginner when you're not falling on your head ALL THE TIME.
Also, coming from real snowboarding I can tell you that nobody actually crashes as much as you did in Amped 1. You've got hands (fists actually) that you push yourself out of a crash with. You don't go rolling all over the place just because your board is tilted a bit.
but the special server works ^^
SSX3 is still my favorite in the series, and I still hope they do turn it around...but as of this most recent entry, I'm not holding out on SSX anymore.
