maybe I look into this too much but one of the billboards on the buildings has 8 legs on it and another has FLY.... can't read the other but maybe its about the web
last game's suit had a better texture/bump-mapping. And why do the skyscrappers look so simplistic in terms of geometry? not that bad, but it's like just a cube with a good texture plastered on.

That was my issue with prototype. It's like they share the same basic, low poly city. They both have horrible, spastic combat too. I dont have much hope for this tbh.

Nah, you're ok. Thanks for the suggestion tho. Oh and BTW. I've played all the spiderman games since the megadrive. I'm here because i like the franchise, not liking the look of this too much tho. It's a return to form as far as swinging and traversal is concerned, but as i said, combat still looks spastic with no depth and the city still looks like complete crap.
Not impressed. Mirrors Edge looks way better. Granted, it's a different kind of game play, but everything's too bright to look even semi-realistic, like it's all got a light source pointed directly on it. The streets should have some kind of shading or something... I mean, I see the little shadows beside the building, but It just looks like bland textures with little toy cars. I'll have to see this in motion to pass judgment. If the motion is fluid and dynamic, it might make up for how static everything looks.
All characters wearing tights (females are awesome in them lol) looks like shit to me, no matter what.
Prototype, Darkness...characters that wears clothes and not swimsuits is way better and less annoying to look at.
Or armor like Batman in The Dark Knight, Thor...those are cool as well.
The image just annoys me because I just see the black outlines as polygon edges and then see a massive ngon >_<. Doubt it is the real topology but still bugs me :\
