Xbox 360

It's been quiet about it for some time now, but Huxley was back at an Korean expo a couple of days ago in a playable form on both Xbox 360 and PC. This trailer is now released, showing some PC gameplay - we're not doing it often, but it's a special case with Huxley as there hasn't been that much media released. Will be interesting to see how they sort out the lag, and I wish there would be a little less 'run-and-gun á la Unreal Tournament'.

It will be interesting to see if this game can develop an own identity. Seems too much of an Unreal clone to me now.

Was it just me or did it seem like they have some minor framerate issues? Might have just been the video though...
Also, why does this video give me a feeling of Unreal Tournament mixed with HL2? :S

In any case the game is looking really nice. Loving the variety of weapons, scenery and vehicles (expecting that atleast a few of the ones seen will be driveable).

Yea i noticed that too. Im sure it will be sorted soon enough, but I saw alot of PvP there.. but where is the PvE? Can it be done in groups or is it all alone... still alot I want to know about Huxley before I consider buying it.

hm, i was under the impresssion this was some kind of mmo with battles or something. i admit i never really "got" what this game was about :)
from the video it really looks (too much imho!) like ut2007 with different textures...
it looks nice, but so far not on my must have list - we`ll see how it develops. ^_^

Run and gun is where the skill is at. I love how in Unreal you have to have shooting skills and great footwork to survive.

But this isn't Unreal.. so that's why.

Its obvious the gameplay is similar to Unreal. Webzen said from the beginning it was going to be fast-paced like UT. I like the way its looking.

Is this really just an MMOFPS or does it at least have a few RPG tidbits here and there?

You guys realize this is an MMO, right? It's the first MMOFPS I've ever seen, and there is inter-platform play between the PC and the 360. The first person footage is PC, and the third person footage is 360, to make up for the lack of precision with an analog stick. If that isn't innovative according to you guys, I don't know what is.

Don't expect so much things on Huxley. Huxley is being developed by Webzen, Webzen is Korean developer, and I'm Korean. To tell you the truth, Webzen SUCKS. What they've made until now are two games, 'MU' and 'SUN online'. Both were hyper-crappy point-and-click MMORPG. It doesn't seem like Huxley is going to be something better.
Also, when you are interested Korean games, check out if it's developed by Phantagram or Blueside, or published by NCsoft.(games developed by NC itself also sucks) Except that, just expect something crappy. Our game industry is ruined, while it doesn't look like that.

What does putting something in 3rd person have to do with making up for the lack of precision with an analog stick? I don't understand the connection. Haven't they ever played Halo or COD on a console. I lost a lot of interest in this game when they said they were going for the fast paced Unreal style of play. Now I've lost all interest in this game after hearing about this 3rd person crap. It shows that 100% of their devotion is to the PC and as far as the console version, well..they'll just noobify that for the console herd since we only consist of 13 yr olds that buy games based on the pretty box art rather than gameplay.

Not visually, I mean in general, it seems fun and in depth from what I've seen players do in actual gameplay footage.

reminds me of the free anarchy online game i tried out a while back, but with better guns and in first person now. whats with the framerate? thats on pc? weird.

if theres no monthly fee i might get this. but yeah it feels more like a quake 3, shoot the ground near anything that moves, instead of a crosshair halo game. not sure if i like this. i definitely want to see more of the MMO side of it.

less run and gun = gears hehe

Yes its framerate on the pc ...

And ya its a run and gun game but with 100 v 100 wars... seems reasonably fun concept if they can get the graphics good and lag and framerate properly
