Video Xbox 360 PS3

End Of Eternity - aka Resonance of Fate - has been released in Japan, so as usual, our good and reliable friend DjMizuhara got his own copy to provide us with some exclusive videos of the game. We'll start with the introduction sequence but more will come in the days to come.
Update 3: Gameplay video is up.

Videos are on the way...I've been really busy with family for the past few days and today (Sunday) I've been out working, so I'm about to get back into the back and record to videos. Shouldn't be too long.

That was badass! Although I didn't like when it went from rock music to Final Fantasy menu music, making me think it might turn out to be with that kind of whimsically cheery tone.

I checked out the gameplay, and looks like a turn-based RPG with guns. Is it real-time at any time too?

DJmizuhara, what are your first impresions? I know you cannot say much about the story... but do you "feel" the game to be a good and refreshing JRPG? I really have some hopes for it after Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery or even Star Ocean which for me were huge letdowns :s

Thanks in advance!

It's on both, says at the top of the screen :)

Looks interesting enough, though the battle system has a steep learning curve.

And this reminds me that Star Ocean 4 International is coming out in a few days. Lol. Four days away and Square-Enix are STILL beating around the bush about whether any new content will be included. As Tri-Ace was obviously working on this game, my guess is no.

The question was what version is this, not what versions are available. Im interested in the answer as well, just for the sake of knowing. DJ?

Exactly.
This game is probably one of my most anticipated RPG of 2010 after Mass Effect2 (currently enjoying it). I have to admit that I'm not so exited about FFXIII, maybe because I'm bored to see the same franchises every generation of consoles. But this one is quiet interesting, SteamPunk, guns, new combat system... We'll give it a try. Thanks for the videos Dj by the way!

REALLY don't like the visuals. Even in the intro, the characters look weird; the first environment looks awful.

@ Digipunk - Thanks for posting. Would've preferred action-style controls--i.e. switching members on the fly while moving with the analog stick. The actual take looks boring.

This footage is from the PS3 version, I no longer have a 360 so videos of 360 games in from are gonna be few and far between until I get a new machine. This game is really tough, the learning curve is pretty steep...one minute you can deal with very simple enemies then the very next turn you're getting your ass handed to you by 4 of 5 enemies at the same time. The Battle system is also pretty difficult to master too...in the beginning of the game it teachers you 16 different attacks methods that you must master before setting off on a mission. I'm enjoying it but it's hella hard...

I tried the demo and it was hard as hell on normal. I only managed to get through it by playing the hand holding mode.

Didn't notice it, maybe because all trailers for this game just show her flying in the air and spinning around shooting stuff, but the female lead has a nice and cute character design.

Now, anybody knows if there are anyother characters later on in the game?

It's as easy as looking to the ? or x button showing on the screen. So yeah, it's the PS3 version.

Precisely, I didn't noticed any "X", "triangle" or "A","B" buttons on screen in the two first videos. (Didn't watch the third one, yet)
Thanks for the precisions Dj, and thanks again for the videos. The game's battle system looks really great!

I don't know where exactly, but the second video has a button display too. I know it doesn't matter anymore but maybe i will watch it again sometime just to prove you wrong, and then again since it doesn't matter anymore i probably will just reply you and don't post where it was found on the main topic.

Oh, didn't notice before either but i was pretty certain my last web browser supported most of ascii code, and i could't get the square down on mozilla, hence the ? sign.

Actually, a pretty unique RPG in terms of battle system. It does apparently feature all the Tri-Ace cheese though.

But this is awesome though:
