GSY Review PS5

It's almost time for the PlayStation VR2 to launch and since we have been lucky enough to receive Sony's headset a week before the embargo lifts, we have been able to play a bunch of games, record some gameplay footage and review Horizon Call of the Mountain. The rest of the list of titles featured here are pretty varied as you will get to see Moss, Moss: Book II, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge Enhanced Edition, Kayak VR: Mirage and Jurassic World Aftermath Collection. More coverage will come in the days to come as we received a few more games in the past few days and we haven't had time to try them yet (Thumper, No Man's Sky, Song in the Smoke Rekindled, The Last Clockwinder).
important note: Rest assured that the tearing you can see in the videos is completely invisible when playing with the headset.

It's surprising to see you reviewing VR content, I hope we get more reviews like this in the future, also for other headsets and not only PSVR.

Well we did cover the release of the first PS VR but when it broke down, we never got it fixed. Then davton bought an Oculus Quest but since it's was his own money, he didn't talk about it here. We don't have other VR headsets and I'm pretty new to VR so you should get some more PS VR2 content in the future but I don't think we can do more.

Still floating hands and no body, it’s a turnoff for me and breaking the immersion. When we will have body presence then I’m interested.

It's better than it used to be so I'm glad to see this content and see more in the future, it was a nice surprise, there are many incredible VR games out there that deserve all the coverage they can get.

Have you ever played in VR? Genuine question, I'm asking because a lot of people who have never played in VR see the floating hands and immediately dislike it (I was like that too) but once inside the headset the floating hands are great and you don't even notice the lack of arms, in fact, most of the time, unless it's very well done, having no arms is better.
There are games with full arms and body that work very well but in most cases floating hands only tends to be better.

I think it's a question of visibility. Floating hands let you see more of your environment.

Yeah, no VR experience. Definitely will try it one day to see but currently without experience it's a turn off :)

Honestly, I don't see how they could make it work without the arms getting buggy all the time. :)
