After a second episode that showed even more promises, time has come to see what the third part of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 has in store for us. More tension, more challenge, new monsters and plot twists, Resident Evil fans are in for a treat. Check out our verdict and videos of the PC version inside.
Note: The beginning of the Barry-Natalia video should be avoided at all costs by those who haven't played the two previous episodes.
Verdict
The premises of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 were rather shy in terms of challenge and pace, but third episode really takes it to the next level, with Capcom turning up the heat once and for all. Situations are getting more interesting, new enemies offer a lot more challenge and the overall tension keeps going crescendo, leaving us asking for more at the end. Again, the final cliffhanger will make you wait eagerly for the last part of the adventure, hoping that it will hold up to its promises.
- Les plus
- More and more tension
- Tough bosses to beat
- Environments are not as recycled as before with Barry and Natalia
- The addition of a few puzzles is welcome
- RE2/3 feel
- Les moins
- Framerate issues are still there on PS4
- Again, some textures look truly bad
- The wait for Episode 4 is going to be harder than expected
