WRC 3 goes to Portugal

This week, WRC 3 is taking us to sunny Portugal with a new full race. Once again, the choice of the external view is a bit of a shame, even more considering that the game features a cockpit view - which, we assume, means that more than 5% of WRC players use it. Maybe next time, but until then, here is a chance to see a new stage.

the game seems so guided... i remember some rally games where it was really hard to do a straith speeding,you'd always f- it up. here even the bumps give a small visual feedback, but it doesn't do jacks**t to the handling.

this is looking much better. and i saw something i wanted to see. the orange flimsy plastic barriers are no longer made of solid steel. the first game was good, but the tracks felt far too restricted becasue of invisible barriers, they seem more natural and open here. it's not an amazing looking game by any means. but it looks fun. and i've said it before, but i'm much more interested playing this then any codemasters racers.

And yet McRae 2 as a rally sim is of a far higher standard than any of the current Dirt games and is a much, much better game.

Colin McRae 1, 2 and even 3 are leagues beyond many of the current crop of "rally" games. The only console contender that bests Codemasters CM series is DICE's RalliSport Challenge 1 and 2. EDIT: I understand Richard Burns Rally was also no slouch.

I heard it was quality. But I was unable to get my hands on a copy in Canada.

It never came to Canada. You have to import it and mod your xbox to play it.
