lol GOW, Childish? Oh Man thats funny. That game is so far from being childish, its not even funny. Heck they have naked females in the game :P

And yes, its easily one of the best games on the PS2, and of last gen.

It's no Ninja Gaiden in terms of depth or notorious difficulty or anything, but it's a fucking amazing experience. Epic in every sense of the word with absolutely mind boggling sights and moments that really do put stuffy rubber ninja to shame from time to time.

Oh and blood and nipples too. In succession even, if I remember rightly.

Bit of an assy box art, with lots of pun intended. I dunno why we got a gayed up box for the first one, but this seems to follow suit.


Snazzyness for americans though.

Yeh, the first box art is more "epic" then that one. He just looks bored on the throne.

Epic is what this game is all about, the first is better.

I just think it's a terrible artwork, just like our box art for the first one was. The perspective is completely wrong, the lighting is completely off, and you're looking at Kratos butt. :O

GoW is epic, sure, but most of all it's a very personal story about Kratos himself. His hate and struggle, and 2 is all about him being pissed - again. But to each his own, as they say.

Yea, the first box art is a lot better. Looks like he's getting ready to kick some ass. I still am amazed on how this game came about. I watched the Making of GOW video they had in the first game, and was like wow, I went from that to this awesome piece of gaming.


Also, the soundtrack from the first one is the sex. If I can't borrow me a PS2, by the time this is released, I'll just buy a new one. Just think how awesome GOW3 will look on PS3, man....

I've actually never played God Of War, and I love third person action games (melee/platform like NG/DMC) so I really owe it to myself to check it out. I should go track it down, give my PS3 something to do while it waits for Virtua Fighter.

I've heard of people complaining about PS2 games having horrible image quality on the PS3..but 480p native games look alright? I need a list of said games.

Yup, you're doing your self a huge disservice for not playing GOW.

As for the PS3 question, I know there are image quality issues with the BC PS2 games. I don't know if its for all games, or just the older PS2 games. However, i did see a pic and video of Okami running on the PS3, and yea, it was terrible. So it only being for older PS2 games statement may not hold any water.


@ Manthatyoufear,

I wouldn't say the game is as hard as NG, but it's no where near easy either. However, I wouldn't compare it to NG, I would more compare it to Prince of Persia.

I heard something about it being 480p games? I wonder if this is a fixable issue..I was actually hoping that the PS3 would enhance my PS2 games, not make them look worse :)

It will eventually Grift, but it's just a PSTwo chip handling everything for now until they sort their emulator.

Once that software's done it'll upscale and do all the fancy tricks.

Supposedly.

You know, always supposedly with Sony.

That's the plan from what I've heard. Software emulation would reduce hardware cost.

You guys obviously havent tried playing At God Difficulty. up to this minute I still cant complete the game at this difficulty! God of War is the reason I love Action Adventure games! A must Play for Anyone who havent. Seriously, Go get a PS2 right this minute just to play this baby up when it comes out.
