This game shouldn't be compared to BF2--there is no "PC version" of this game--because Modern Combat is not BF2.
the games graphics are great, but I didn't enjoy myself too much as the only kill I got was the ONLY target I saw all game. I locked on to a helicopter in the air and took him out in style ;)

The Xbox version is greatlly bland in color. Very bare buildings. Small maps. Everything seems "flat". The Xbox 360 version is a graphical upgrade of that -- I would have MUCH preferred the PC version being modified.
Kind of like Far Cry Instincts. The 360 version is an upgraded Xbox version. And while the water looks nice and some nice things here or there, the PC version --as old as it is -- has a better feel.
Partyly because the games are more balanced. All the art is "in theme". Far Cry and BF2MC kind of toss high rez textures and super normal mapped guys and increase poly count on an Xbox1 engine.
I guess what I am saying is I don't like the look/feel of these Xbox 1 engines being upgraded. I MUCH prefer the PC engines. IMO, BF2 PC looks better. The 360 version has some *specific* art assets that look better, but the quality on the whole --and how everything fits together-- looks better on the PC IMO.
Same with FC. I will take FC PC (even with a gamepad) over FC 360 any day of the week. Yeah, the 360 version has nicer water... but the PC version is higher quality across the board IMO.

Check out the ign videos of the game it looks pretty good, but nowhere in the league of ghost recon.

Interestingly some of the best Xbox 1 FPS worked well as PC FPS. e.g. Halo. I think the PC version plays fine and it is basically the same as the console version minus some tweaking. Another console FPS I like is TimeSplitters. Very fast, requires good aim. Reminds me a lot of UT99 in MP in that it is really fast. It works very well as a Console FPS. GRAW is another... tactical, but I can see it translating well to the PC.
I think the clift has less to do with the speed, but more the content/game design.
I think BF2 with a gamepad would work fine (tried it... could only get the RT analog to work). Since everyone would have a "handicap" it would level out. While not as good as a MS, it was not shabby.
I guess the PC version seems more "loose". When I can put my thumb on it I will try to explain it better... but even with a game pad it just has more "depth" to the world; probably because the PC version was aimed at 2GHz, 512MB memory, and PS1.4 hardware with 128MB of memory and the Xbox1 version was aimed at Celeron 733MHz with 64MB of memory and a GF3/4 GPU. As much as you pretty up the graphics, nothing changes the fact the base art/design is for a very low end PC.

(Man the guy has horrible aim... he seems to really struggle with the gamepad... they need Snoopers, who ROCKS with the gamepad!)
