Yeah i watched them too, they were more well done than i thought they would be, and had some obvious Twin Peaks moments in there.

lol at all the comments since i last posted.

i say a massivly possitive thing about alan wake, saying it sits comfortably within the best of the best this gen visually, and i get my head ripped off. weird.

i'd love to know what was so offensive about my comments? was the fact i said gears was made using a middleware multiplatform engine? was it saying that MS dont put the time/money into developing bespoke game engines that take advantage of the systems strenghts? was it that i said alan wake was the first game to actually do this, as far as a long development cycle, a talented team, money and an engine/visuals that are far and away the best on the 360?

please, enlighten me to what exactly was wrong with those statements?

See, now you know how it feels when someone washes over an entire library of software and disrespects everything that system has to offer. Your defense of the PS3 is exactly how any user here feels about the 360 (in regards to your comment). Your bias generalizations are offensive to others and not a welcome thing to see.
I wasn't wrong either, I just said it to make a point to you and as it turns out ManThat.

Anyways. I need to wait on reviews for Alan Wake, Lost Planet and Red Dead Redemption. It's so rough knowing which one to really buy. I enjoy SP excursions which I know will be heavy in Alan Wake and somewhat in Red Dead (GTA had MP too, but wasn't the best thing about it). Then Lost Planet 2 just looks cool all around.

how did i wash over an entire library of software? didnt i say the likes of gears of war and mass effect look fantastic visually? again, there is a huge difference between saying a console manufacturer doesnt go to any real lenghts to push visuals, and saying a game looks crap. most 360 games, exclusive or otherwise look great, hell, most of them run/ look better then their Ps3 counterparts. all i'm saying is that the 360 has never had a game like alan wake before. where it's dev cycle, engine, and visuals have had the money, care and attention put into them that sll current gen exclusives SHOULD have. it's a welcome thing to see.

LMFAO! If i weren't already convinced I'd be buying this damn thing, this video just further confirmed my purchase.

His manager is quite the character, I can certainly already see him being a true highlight of this game. A specific scene in this pretty much put to rests any doubts I might have had. I like what I see.

Gameplay looks awesome as well :)

And the gameplay is WAYYY better than I was expecting. I didn't think it would be that intense at all.

Besides how awesome Alan Wake's agent is and how much better the actual combat gameplay truly is, and a few light spoilers, I'd say the vid is a safe watch, even for those trying to go on media blackout.

Looks amazing...exept... those facial animations. This does annoy me a bit. I knew this was gonna happen when I saw the website of the guys doing the facial capture. Weak, and sticks out like a sore thumb amidst the rest of the game. It won't ruin it for me, but I imagine It WILL annoy throughout the game...

Yea, the facial animations aren't very good, and the syncing in most cases just seems off, but thankfully, some of the better and more interesting dialogue seems to come from actual on the fly combat gameplay, especially when you have allies present.

I really like how they're working that episodic angle, showing what took place in previous episodes, and such.

The lightning simply just looks stunning

It isn't so much a big deal for me, to be honest. Don't get me wrong, it's important for any game, but it's something, I admit, I am more than willing to look past for this game.

It'd be great if that were the case Irapitoir, but it seems to have been the case in a number of videos I've looked at, even some gameplay vids I have on my pc from that german site.
