I won't be buying it at launch, Red dead redemption will get my moneys, but later on it will be mine :)
As long as you buy it! These games are few in a console generation, we have to support them. I'm expecting a sequel already, lol. I'm sure we'll get a sequel before the generation is over.

By the way, Remedy is really a company that puts all their effort in a franchise for a generation it seems. Max Payne last time around, now Alan Wake. Must be tough putting all your eggs in one basket, but I think that's what makes their games unique and great.

And the gameplay is WAYYY better than I was expecting. I didn't think it would be that intense at all.

Besides how awesome Alan Wake's agent is and how much better the actual combat gameplay truly is, and a few light spoilers, I'd say the vid is a safe watch, even for those trying to go on media blackout.

Is Wake's agent awesome, OR WHAT!? :D
OK watched a bit more from 9mins onward, and damn that looked awesome!! this game cant come soon enough!

I definitely agree with this sentiment; we don't see games like this very often. They need our support.

Buying 2 copies of the game, going to use one for about an hour, then sell it to Grift for twice the price :P

I'm not actually boycotting Microsoft, because that would be silly.. but I do find it hard to support this thing when it was so obviously PC bound before MS got their hands on it.

I'm over Halo though. :P

Yea, the pc cancellation probably had something to do with the change away from the initially expected, more ambitious open world aspects of the game. But then there's also a chance that they simply felt things weren't heading in the right direction and pulled a course correction for the benefit of the game as a whole.

Yeah, I wasn't implying that it had a huge impact on the game, but it probably did anyway. The reason they canned the PC version is simple: Microsoft doesn't publish PC games.

That's almost unquestionably why they stopped supporting Games For Windows. They need exclusives, so they steal them from themselves.

IN the floor, fucking hell thats one harsh woman dude..

You should live on brown(and wild) rice sweetcorn peas chicken and fish, with protien shakes and creatine cheap as anything :) and healthy, and just throw some rice cakes in for desert with dried fruit, and of course vitiman tablets and cod liver oil

Dont cost much :)

But if you got kids and misses like me they drain the rest of my wallet.

:( i feel your pain dude, i really want alan wake and it took me a few days to get her to buy me the legendary edition of Reach :D

I wanted to buy ODST but to skint for that at momment fortunatly my mates let me have his he not intrested in the BETA WOOT!

As for Alan Wake really looking forward to it, because my games room is 95% complete now (-JBL speakers) and apart from Reach beta(and odst) it will be the first "proper" game i play in there
Which is odd because i had planned on it been GoW3 but i just cant be arsed with that yet.

AH, The game room. I used to have one, until my older bro lost his job and he and his family moved into my basement :(. Stupid family in need. I did move one of my leather couches upstairs where I have my Good tv set up. Too bad it's a loft and it's hard to get a good sound field going in there :(...
