Reduced input "lag"
-> On machines where the CPU would out-run the GPU, sometimes the GPU would queue up several frames' worth of rendering commands.
This could lead to the game having a high framerate, but input still feeling very sluggish.
Now there's a limiter on how many frames the CPU is allowed to be "ahead" of the GPU.
Control this setting via Settings.ini. Default setting: RenderAheadLimit=2

The soot on buildings with holes in them had a bugged renderpath. We switched that over to a more well-tested renderpath.

There was a race condition in the code;
System 1 thought "oh hey, you're leaving vehicle X"
System 2 thought "the vehicle got destroyed, let's remove it"
If system 2 ran before system 1, chaos would ensue.
This was actually fixed in the retail version since a month, but it was only when we got detailed crash reports from the community that we understood *why* the Beta was crashing.
Likely bugs in this build
I wouldn't be surprised if it (still) has trouble remembering your settings between rounds. It would be nice to have that fixed too, but it's better to get a patch out now, and look at the settings issues afterward.

Well patch didn't change much my game, runs basically the same as before and it ran nice. But it already gave me two freezes, beta just froze completly, didn't happen before this patch.
But happy to see it improoved your performance, that was their objective :)
Don't forget: this is a console port. We were never going to get more effort and manpower than the console version.
It really did improve my performance greatly. I'm probably getting 15-20 fps more than I was previously, on average, and my min and max FPS both have jumped considerably.

People cry so much about C4. I admit, I'm abusing it a little bit, but it's not like I'm using the glitch. So the first set of objectives are basically indefensible, that's not my fault!

Weird, it's not letting me patch. Says "Could not find latest patch version. There might be an internet connection problem or server is down."
Edit: Stupid me, had to run it as an Admin. Duh.

I can't wait til we have access to conquest maps. Hopefully they're configured in a way that has fewer choke points, and are far less linear. It's still pretty damn addictive though. And really, I blame the popularity of C4 and the S20K but I'm just feeding that fire. It's practically impossible not to though, it's too powerful not to use! I may actually drop the assault rifle in favor of C4 for good. I can't kill tanks with the noob tube!
I don't really feel like my reaction time is rewarded 1/10th as well as it is in Call of Duty (4, not Modern Warfail 2), but I actually appreciate how most weapons do less damage. It makes headshots count for something major, which is nice.
So.. 30 hours into the beta.. I'm not in love but I'm definitely in like.

And I don't think they patched the console version of the demo, I doubt they will. This patch was just to test dual core optimization it seems, and it's a winner in that it really improved performance on Core 2 Duo's.
I'm sure they'll do the same balance tweaks and support both in retail. They didn't even apply any known fixes to glitches or bugs or anything in the patch, it just made the game run better.
