So you are more advanced into the game than I am Im in the Fight with 2 Titansand I think its pretty awesome considering the fact that I loved the BANE boss fightbut this time its much more awesome because they are 2 it looks so frikin hilarious when Batman is riding the titan Im having so much fun,in fact I was interrupted by my wife and I got pissed and I already had like 4 hours playing =) dude this game its addicting and considering the fact that Im getting good at combat =) I unlocked the 20x Achievo too it was sick to say the least I cant imagine how I will pull the 40x or Freeflow Perfection :O

Anyway I cant wait to play more tonight =)

I have to say that, despite what some say, Batman: AA has one of the best combat systems I've played. It's incredible how something so easy and accessible can be so deep and, most importantly, addictive. I unlocked the 20 combo achievement a couple of days ago, but God knows if I'll ever be able to get to 40.

I reckon I'll probably finish the game today, but man... what a ride. I'd go as far to say that, if the remainder of the game is as good as what I've played, this will be one of my favourite games this generation - and possibly of all time. Seriously, I do think it's that good.

I agree that Batman:AA has one of the best combat systems. While it's obviously not as deep and doesn't require as much skill as the combat in NG or DMC, for me, it's the most satisfying combat experience I've experienced in a game. The flow of the combat and the choreographed-looking nature of the fights go so far to immerse me in the fighting that I don't care that there's no massive combo list.

I do wish there was either some euphoria or some better 'death' animations attributed to the enemies though. The head-grabbing and the rag-doll were unfortunately weak.

Yeah, euphoria would have added so much more to the animations, but the flow of the combat really is spectacular and just keeps you focused at all times.

I think one of the most impressive things about Batman is its performance. I don't know about you guys, but I've experienced no framerate drops, screen tearing, texture pop-ins or loading times (maybe a couple that last a second or so, but nothing really noticeable). And when you consider that it's running on the Unreal Engine - an engine that apparently can't be efficiently handled by anyone other than Epic - you just have to take your hats off to Rocksteady. They've certainly gained my respect.

One thing I like its that there is no tearing anywhere and I like that a lot =)

Other thing is that my Batsuit its all ripped now form the cape to my arms and everything, also I think if Im not mistaken the beard grows too,men talk about immersion

I love you so much Batman AA.

This game will stay with me forever like Crackdown,Ninja gaiden Series, its untradable, its a keeper.

=)

For anyone who's completed the game: I'm currently at the Ivy boss battle. Am I close to the end?

Never mind, just finished it.

Man, what a game. I can see why some thought the ending was nothing special, but I thought it was really well done - and the Joker turning into a Venom-filled monster was a nice little twist as well. I do think that the final two boss battles were weaker than those before it but hey, still better than the boss battles you'd find in about 80% of other games.

Overall, I've just been blown away. I had high hopes for it, ever since I first saw the game over a year ago, but I never thought it'd be as good as this. I can't speak highly of it enough. Not only is it a near certainty to being my personal GOTY, but it also ranks amongst the best I've played this generation, and the best I've ever played in all my gaming years.

Bravo, Rocksteady. Bravo.

EDIT: I've just rolled past the credits... OH SNAP! Possible sequel confirmed, involving Two Face and Scarecrow situated in Gotham?

Just so you know, you can go back and solve all the Riddler puzzles after you've finished the game.

Yeah, some of them are right bitches. I'm only on about 55% of the riddles, so I've got a long way to go before getting to 100%!

Downloaded the free DLC today by the way. It's actually pretty cool. You get two maps, one for combat and one for stealth - the combat one is my favourite though.

Well... you know after the credits you see Scarecrow put his arm on a box of Titan in the water, implying that he survived? There is also a cutscene for Killer Croc and one for Bane as well. I don't think it's determined by which difficulty you complete it on or anything else; it's just random. But go on Youtube and search around for them, and you'll see the three different endings.

Finally got Arkham Asylum on steam. Enjoying it a lot more than the demo and the game runs silky smooth everything maxed. Looks beautiful.

I felt, after the demo, that there was a lot of hyperbole in this thread. Since buying the game on Steam I just cannot get enough. It is truly a fantastic experience.

I've just started playing the challenge rooms. I enjoy the combat ones a lot more than the other ones. I got to 250th in the world on the new combat DLC room. Great fucking game.
