It was playable.. but who knows if you could ensure that kind of room would be stable. Very strange though, especially considering it started off as a 3v3 game :)

Weird thing is I seem to be getting into rooms were especially the player from America (i'm not generalizing this heck most American's i used to play Rb6 Vegas with are way more polite than some of the other people on there...) seem to act like pricks.... I join a game and when they hear my non US english i get the standard slack:

"Hey limey, go fuck yourself!"
"Brits are gay!"

When I reply with I'm not British, I get an intelligent reply, yesterday in the form of the following:
"Shut the fuck up you wanna be American british europe bitch"

And I'm not claiming that i don't get this shit in other games, but this game seems to be more crowded with this "sort" of people...

Played for the first time last night, i'm no multiplayer expert but i was kicking all kinds of ass!!!, ok my team was kicking all kinds of ass but i was running and hiding like a pro ;)! it was fun untill i kept on getting server disconnect, then i said fuck it. Graphics were ok, but i expect there will be allot more shine come release.

Just got the beta.. From the 10 minutes I played it before the server ended I could already tell this game is gonna own! It looks and plays great.. It feels like a modern CS with more of a RPG-like ranking system, I like it..

I can't wait to play the full game.. (on PC offcourse because I suck at playing FPS with sticks)

The only negative thing about this game to me is the lack of team work. Team deathmatch is just deathmatch except you cant shoot half of the players. Everyone just runs around on their own. I've only played one objective game and it was a lot better in that so I think I will be playing those more. So far Im liking Vacant and Overgrown a lot more than crash.

I love the challenges and the customisation on the guns. Theres just so many great things about this tiny little beta. I cant wait for the full game.

Yeah that mode is just basically Counter Strike...which I love ! Yeah you are right people are a lot more careful on that. Im just used to playing slower like that because of Gears of War. Im not struggling with the pace or anything. Iv been top player in a lot of games. Just now I had 27 kills to 3 deaths. Sexy.

Been playing the BETA for about 2 hrs now, although the game is incredibly unbalanced, i admit Its lots of fun. The weapons feel great, graphics look extremely good on one of the maps, it feels fast, smooth and i love the framerate and weapon variety.

I must say though, the matchmaking system its pretty awful, guns dont feel accurate and the whole obtaining perks, weapons and power ups via experience points makes me feel that in future, the winner will be determind by how much one has played the game and not by the individual skill one possesses. Its a shame really as for me, this will be prevent me from coming back to COD4 mp after the beta runs out.

What, specifically, is unbalanced (outside of unlocks)?

the whole obtaining perks, weapons and power ups via experience points makes me feel that in future, the winner will be determind by how much one has played the game and not by the individual skill one possesses.

While I don't like perpetual ranks --or even unlocking large chunks of content through time based achievements (like racers where you have to play career mode to get better cars)--I know someone who got to level 16 in 5 hours in CoD4 just the other day.

If ranking up is that easy, I don't see much problem with it.

Its a shame really as for me, this will be prevent me from coming back to COD4 mp after the beta runs out.

Not really surprising considering the negativity you have had toward and and endowed it unbalanced in 2 hours.

As for gun accuracy, this isn't a sci-fi shooter. What gun you pick, as well as your movement and body position (crouching, jumping, etc) affects gun deviation.

Is your issue guns aren't responsive (i.e. just don't work) or that guns have some form of deviation, some worse than others, that require using them in specific roles?

That is so not true. I can rape with the default assault kit just about as well as the configuration I use, which is just an adjustment to a single perk. Being able to customize your class does help but it does not make you significantly better or more suited for any single situation.

Guns don't feel accurate? You know left trigger zooms, right? :P The M16 is deadly accurate, so is the M4--with almost no recoil to top it off. You had your heart set on disliking this game from the start.. I'm surprised you even tried it to be honest. Guess you get some extra credit for the leg work.

They even have fantastic mobility while zoomed.

They really need to up the level cap all the way to the max beta cap.. with Halo 3 just around the corner, I'm not sure how much more life the beta has in it and I would like to try the G3 and SVD out before I stop playing.

I don't think we'll level this fast in the final retail version, at least, that's my guess. Also balance concerns aren't even considering the "pure" modes that could be available in the game. Clan games (at least on PC) are likely to either use global unlocks or none what-so-ever. How leagues will work this out remains to be seen.. but I do expect this game to appear on CAL. It would be disappointing if it did not.

I love sniping in this game. I can't wait to see what the other rifles are. Also, I'm starting to like the level with the warehouse/offices in the middle, I love the Uzi too :D

Basically, I have three custom classes with 3 different primary weapons. Two with sniper and one with the Uzi. I have kind of given up on the AK for now.

Highlighted in bold because that is the exact reason why this game is unbalanced, Its not as bad in the beta as it will be in future because you are Capped at lvl 16, what makes it worse is the fact that you dont lose experience when you lose a game or if you play bad, your constantly levelling up.

What i dont like is that fact that even though i may be more far more skilled than the oppostion, perks like 'Extra Health','Extra Bullet Damage','Better Accuracy' and will almost garauntee that i wont be able to compete because i have inferior weapons and perks due to my lower level. And if your a new starter to xbl, you may aswell give up no matter how good you are.

But you know, each to their own and i'm having a good time with this beta, I've had some really great games.

Its Like almost all games, the higher your level becomes, the longer it takes for you to rank up, so it wont take another 5hrs to rank up from 16 to 32, will probably be more like 15hrs.
