Anyone think this game could end up being big in Europe?

I just pre-ordered a copy of crackdown for the Halo 3 Multiplayer beta :/

I'm a sucker as well. But atleast this demo has made me feel quite a bit better about the whole deal.

Very fun game, so far..as Carb said this game is very fresh and it's not your average GTA clone. The platforming, the progression, the superpowers all keep this game from feeling like more of the same. Scaling the sides of huge buildings is a blast.

The car physics aren't too bad, really, and it's one of the skills you can level up as you progress throughout the game. Your stats progress faster in the demo, which is cool, although when you hit level 2 in any of your attributes a 30 minute timer starts on the demo, which sorta sucks.

Fun demo, good impressions on my first time through it. Best free-roaming game on the Xbox 360? For now, it sure looks that way. Oh, and the framerate is pretty damn smooth for this type of game too.

Going back to explore some more. Will try out co-op later. This could be a hit anywhere Optimus, especially with Halo 3 pushing the marketing.

Wow, MS really needs to start something like bittorrent 360, it's taking way too much to download. One hour and I'm out to school!

They have such a system, or are at least researching it. Hopefully it makes its way to 360.

I think the game plain until you get your ability up stupid timer wish they wouldnt do that on demos you get one ability up then its like a rush in 30 mins to keep leveling ability.

But its quite fun some brutal strength was kicking cars and they went flying and throwing cars also picking up lamposts and dead bodys and chucking them great fun. :)

It real adrenaline pumper game great for letting frustration out lol i level up to 25ft Jumping was awesome climbing to top of buildings. :)

I suspected europe specifically because of the developer and for a reason I can't quite put my finger on I assume the european market may really love this game and it could start picking up steam over there.

Yea you got a point about Halo 3 driving the marketing. I really hope they give us an improved build over the one EGM got to try out.

Has anybody tried co-op yet? I enjoyed the full game so was eager to try it out with someone :)

Hopefully will download pretty quickly when I get in after the initial rush. Never had a problem with previous demos (I'm on 8Mb down)

Damn. I jst got back home and been downloading for 30 mins and it's at 12% .... so freaking slow on an 8mb/s connection.

Me and my friend just got through playing co-op. It's awesome. I haven't played any of the SP, but we killed a few of the crime bosses. Really fun. I'm definitely going to buy this.

This should be a hit all over if there is any justice in the world. The name change and change of "lead" character in Japan suggests they have eyes on that market aswell.

For people having trouble downloading I find that cancelling the download, DELETING the partial file then restarting tends to get it going properly. Sounds weird but it has worked for me several times.

I'm on the same 10mbit connection as a friend, and for some reason his download is going EXTREMELY slow. Mine finished rather quickly. Strange.

Bah, just as well the football's on! Shame I can't take the devkit home.

For those that have it ; I'm guessing just one of the four islands (and perhaps the agency tower) are unlocked in the demo and there are a few kingpins dotted about. That right?

Ok I have played the game again and again and again all over again, and I am gonna be honest and say it is so fun.
I never knew that you could specifically choose where you want to shoot at the vehicles or the humans and it depends on how your aiming will be by what weapon you have.

I really love the whole matrix jumps from rooftop to rooftop and the whole leveling up animation, looks awesome.
Although I dont know...can you customize your own character or that is what you get?
I am not gonna get this, but I just have to ask.

Alright my download got stuck at 15% so I gave up ... will download later when the demand has gone down a little bit ..... Pfffffffffff microsoft really needs to do something about this.

Yea, it's taking a buddy of mine who's in the same building forever to grab too. A damn shame, I'm suprised his hasn't stalled out all together. He's managed to go up 5% in the last hour and a half.

Nah I think you just choose from the characters at the start and then when they reach certain levels they gradually transform into their final state. I know Real Time Worlds are going to be making more of them available though, it would be awesome if they added some first party main characters to the game aswell.

As for the levelling animation it is awesome, I was bouncing over roof tops looking for agility orbs when I spot a gang lookout facing away from me on the next roof. I make the jump and land just a little behind him. I was also in range of the agility orb nearby so I absorbed the points and got an upgrade, which sent out the concussion wave knocking the poor lookout right over the edge of the building.

Classic stuff, I really hope they get the replay editor up soon after launch!

A replay editor for this game would be totally awesome. Some really creative stuff would come out of it I think. Much like some of the better Driv3r videos I watched.

47%........wow, but I guess that's fine, I've never had a problem before so this is withing acceptable level, too bad it had to happen with this game.

EDIT: BTW, what are you guys saying about a replay editor? Are they officially working on one?

For anyone stuck for this long, I honestly suggest stopping the transfer and resuming. I'm on the same network with a couple of friends, all hooked up to the same 10mbit ISP--and this has only happened to one of us today. He's STILL downloading it (like a nub) when my roommate started after he did and got it in 20-30 minutes.

31% after 90 mins though I do have a torrent running taking up 35kB/s of my 8Mbit connection....will give that a go.
