Sigh... not THAT radical, but it is very certain that PC gaming has being going downhill since the dawn of the next-gen. PC's are just that. Personal Computers, not gaming consoles. Yes you CAN play games on them but why would you when you can have a humongous TV and home theater with arguably much better games to play.

Strong opinion incoming:
Killzone 2 beats the shit out of Crysis any day.

I dont like the music used in the trailer (expecting good stuff like the previous tites) and the new nanosuit design is bad compared to the original.

But it's Crysis so I am hyped!
I did like the new design of the aliens though :)

I'm pretty pumped for this, still not sure about the change of setting. Loved Crysis and really liked to be on an Island.

I dont like the setting TBH, we have seen NY enough in media that it is boring. I hope they can change the setting in destruction style or when aliens arrive so we cant reconize it anymore.

Well, I still think that's ridiculous. I haven't played Killzone 2, and it might be a great game, but it hardly takes away from the goodness of Crysis. I also take it you haven't actually played that much of Crysis, since you qualified you statements with, "from what i've seen and played," which seems to imply the briefness of your encounter. I'm sorry, your opinion just sounds uninformed and unjustified. But hey, whatever. You obviously don't "get" PC gaming, since you think that people are running out and paying $2000 to play Crysis. I play the majority of my games on the PC, and I think I probably spend less, and get more.

Plus, this is coming to the PS3, so you'll probably change your tune once you've actually played a Crysis game.

You can do "add ons" from users that makes the original look bad by "tuning" it to a better look without extra money.

PC gaming do take some effort to have a good PC to run all the best modern games, but its something you have to dedicate yourself to if you plan on being a PC gamer.
Looking for the latest hardware/software now and then to keep up, while with consoles you can pretty much just buy what you get and deal with it.

My PC isnt made for upgrades, I was lucky enough to get a Radeon 4890 XFX edition to fit with a new fan, but thats as far as upgrades I can go with cards considering new cards are bigger than old ones.
So when my PC stop running games good enough for my standards (good thing I am not a big graphics whore) thats where it all stops, but so far so good.

Also I remember reading that Cysis 2 requirments for PC is the same as Crysis 1/Warhead, if not lower...good thing if true :)

I can't speak about gameplay when it comes to Crysis because i haven't played it. Killzone 2 however i did play,( before trading it and Camp of Duty MW2 in for GOW3) and it's a pretty mediocre shooter despite its graphics. Which is the only reason it got any attention. I liked the cover system though. I'm not going to get into graphics because i assume that no one is delusional enough to think that KZ2 can't compete with Crysis ( PC) graphically.

Killzone 2 is shit compared to Crysis...for one reason.

The tank-like control, its crap.

I don't care if its "unique" or not, it just doesnt work and many people have been put off by the tank control, movement and aiming is way too heavy, feels like I am controlling a drunk elephant :P

You can sorta get used to the sluggish aiming in KZ2, but there are heaps of other absolutely baffling design choices that bog that game down. Chief among them, I reckon, is how they only allow you to carry one weapon in addition to the sidearm. That completely forces you to always stick to some kind of lame inbetween, all purpose type gun instead of actually playing to the stengths of the weapons themselves.

Irony is, that's after KZ1 inexplicably had you carrying THREE weapons in addition to sidearm which made for a total juggle fest of fiddly confusion. It's like they're looking at Halo going "we're gonna do EVERYTHING but that, because that clearly works really well, and we don't wanna copy WORKING STUFF".

With a bit of luck they're less stubborn with KZ3 and bring the gameplay design up to speed with the visuals.

I dont really bother with 2 primary weapons because anyone you kill you can just pick their weapon up (or re-supply).

But yes it is ironic how it wasent like that KZ1.

But the sluggish movement in Kz2 takes all the points because it is pure crap.
I know they are trying to go for a realism stuff, but that doesnt mean its going to be good at it.

Keep the realistic look and feel fo the war, but dont change the controls. It is suppose to be fun and not frustuating, which I find it was.
Even if I go back to it now, it will be okay for 1 hour, but then I start to get annoyed by it..

I hope they add normal movement controls for KZ3 like Crysis or Halo because thats normal, but something tells me they aren't going to do so.

More than another halo id rather see CoD like controls in killzone 3. K2 was an odd game as I really wanted to like it but the lack of weapon variety and sluggish boring controls just really hurt the game in a huge way.

If they can add more/better weapons and tighter more fun to use controls then Killzone 3 will or should be an amazing game that KZ2 should have been.

Actually, Crysis is already the closest thing you'll get, philisohically to Halo in gameplay terms. It's already very much a Halo, so it makes sense that it'd control like one.

CoD is a very focused and.. how shall I put it... It's like.. a spear I guess. It's very much like a spear to Halo's sword and shield or something. If you go down that route and you streamline it and make it that *focused* you lose a lot of the dynamism that makes Crysis play great.

I think they were talking about Kill Zone. Crysis doesn't have any control issues, IMO...

Indeed. I've been saying that for a while too. If Crysis had a great MP package too, it would be the PC's Halo.
