keen to read your impressions...
The second thing is the sheer number of zombies on screen and variety of weapons and ways they can be despatched. There must be literally hundreds of weapons in this game, some totally bizarre, giant lipstick, mannequins etc. I encourage everybody to try out the "Excavator" in the hardware store! Though not if your kids are playing, it is definitely very very bloody!
The Mall feels suitably large to me and there is good variety in the design. I think the map was posted on here a short time ago. There are a variety of ridiculous costumes that can be aquired, some with a distinct Capcom theme which I won't spoil! :)
I've seen the phrase "It's a videogame version of "Shaun of the Dead" and that's exactly right. If you like that film, you'll love this! Part of the appeal is what they've done with the characters and to me distinguishes it from the majority of zombie type games. Some of the bosses are quite clearly derranged
One amusing thing that did happen, more or less the first mission you get requires you to find a middle aged chaps wife on the roof. On the roof are a collection of soccer balls which I spent at least 5 minutes kicking at the poor woman's head. It was only after 5 or 6 hits that her husband finally lost his rag and whacked me full in the face with the golf club he was carrying!
If you think that makes you laugh, you should definitely buy this game
Take one 360, add some chopped PS3, stir in some Wii, a sprinkling of DS Lite. Enjoy :)

some time i see reviews and you can bet your bottom dollar that the reviewer "even before he/she has played the game" has gone at it with the idea of i dont like this type of game so im gonna give it a bad review.
whether you like it or not you should take your self out of the equation and judge the game on its merits regardless if you like it or not
Especially awesome is the fact that any cutscenes you trigger feature Frank in whatever clothes you were wearing last (Servbot head, tight t-shirt and shorts lol)

I'm not sure if it was intentional or it'll get fixed but funny none the less.
I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what is in the demo and having a go at home. The achievement list is also suitably wacky
Map of the mall altered to suit the demo. (Stole from Something Awful)

BUT i think this game will be boring after 2 hours of play, i mean it's fun playing around with all the stuff but for how long?
I'm interested in the story but i'm not satisfied enough by the demo to start buying it..
BTW it says: back-up brad, but where the hell is that guy? I went outside (that starts a video) i went to the stairs (that starts a video) and playing for 15-20 starts a video is there any other route or "ending" you can have in the demo?
"You're being arrested for drunk driving."
"Drunk definitely, I don't know if you could call it driving."
Eddy: That doesn't include areas under the tunnel or around the mall.

I found the demo a little boring after a while I went through a door and saw a video and it was the end of the demo.. !!??
I think your mission is to find Eddy btw. (which isn't part of the demo)

i think the naysayers (jolli and firewire) are missing the point to this game
(i wouldnt think jolli would like this game anyways its not a japanese rpg "no offence" )
its all about "fun" the "dead" trillogy by romero ..flimsy plot ,but that was the point its a zombie flick , they were about atmosphere , about the pollitical viewpoints of the time...and seeing how far they could push the gore/scare factor, yes they had a story ,(but was a no brainer) but when watching those films its about seeing how many different ways romero could think of how to kill a zombie or a zombie killing human.
(sam rami took it a step further with the evil dead trilogy)
the point of the game is to let you loose in a shopping mall (its almost the ultimate sandbox ,go anyplace do any thing..within the confines of the mall) with every concievable weapon you could think of , with the main aim of killing zombies.
it is meant to be played in short bursts(an hour or so at a time...a game you can come back to again and again and again)
its just mindless zombie killing action, thats it . not some deep rpg or action adventure
This'll go both ways just like the N3 demo did, and nobody is *wrong*.
AETOA is currently under reconstruction, so it'll look a bit funky for a while.
New rule: If you don't have an HDTV then you cannot comment on the graphics of X-Box 360 games.
