It's about fun, as in what they're not having after they're bored. It's not about missing a point, it's about not enjoying oneself.

This'll go both ways just like the N3 demo did, and nobody is *wrong*.

yes but if they are getting bored with the game ,then they dont like this type of game, but to claim that the game is boring is wrong ...no?

i dont like final fantasy games or rts games...but i wouldnt d/load any demos of those games and go on a thread about those games and say they were boring.

What about the fact there is more than meets the eye about the whole zombie apperences, not to mention all the NPC's walking around.

I think there is probably a pretty good story in this game, you can tell me that this game is just about hacking at zombies non stop, cause that would be boring.

Everyone is entitled to critique the game, especially if they do it intelligently.

I did also say, that is the type of game you will either love, or not really care for. If you liked the film Shaun of the Dead, or appreciate the black humour this contains then you will love it.

The NPC's and Cases (i.e. the story missions) do have significant involvement, it is not JUST being stuck in the mall for 72 hours with a bunch (or A LOT) of zombies. However, the sandbox design is a major tenet of the gameplay also.

I thought the writing and humour was spot on and enjoyed it, but it's probably an aquired taste.

There are more people than just the zombies to fight, the bosses are all ( I think ) human.

As for the save games, I'm pretty sure it's any restroom but I never actually checked!

Just a quick question, I saw someone mention the demo isn't on marketplace for some countries and those countries probably won't get the game, at all.
Anyone know if this game is definitely coming to the Netherlands?

If you don't like something (or splitting hairs if something is not to your taste), you have to have an opinion on why you don't like it or why it doesn't appeal to you .. It's common sense ..

Bottom line -- If i think this game is boring, and i say it looks boring, it doesn't mean it is boring, it just means i think it is boring (simple), so why the hell are you blowing this out of proportion ?

I'm guessing the regions that don't get the demo won't get the game either, but i assume you can import a PAL version from another area and it will work fine.

Just tried it out and i found it kinda fun, i found it extra nice that you could pick up a guitar and zerg with it, and that the each guitar model sounded different. But i don't know if this game will last a very long time and have any replay value, sure it's fun to clim highscore and such but after a 1000 kills in the demo i started to get a little tierd of it, but i'll think i will get it anyway, the story seems nice and they manadge to get good voice's also that doesn't destroy everything. And a plus for the grapichs, the water was really nice and not alot of edges visible, maybe they found the AA button, but it looked good and there sure was alot of zombies on the screen at the same time.

yes, thats why i said i wouldnt go around to a thread, of "any game i dont like" and say
things like "this game is rubbish". when the game cant be rubbish because games like final fantasy or command and conquer are not rubbish, they have a massive following,

That would be pretty f*cked up, importing is just another delay and more hassle, but I read that some people say that there must be some sort of mixup since Germany isn't getting the game and they probably thought the Netherlands is a part of Germany or something?

Also, thins game must be pretty anticipated, all the dutch forums are going banana's because of this demo...

This is going to be a great game, but Capcom could have done a better job with the demo. Instead of just throwing you in a piece of the mall to have your way with the zombies, they should have given you an actual mission. The Lost Planet demo was great because it gave you two full missions, with actual objectives. The Dead Rising demo is straight up sandbox gaming. Running over hordes of zombies with shopping carts and skateboarding around the mall is fun and all, but I wanted something more from the demo.

Ok, I don't know what to think, but I can say the EGM scores now seem more reasonable. The game, as expected isn't reinventing the wheel.

Killing zombies over and over and over again, not matter in how many ways, will get old. I think we can all agree on that. Now, the demo is not the best it could have been. Why not give us 1 mission at least?

The cutscenes are nice and the story looks good. So it'll all come down to how fun the missions are, because like I said, killing zombies will get old. So I'm still not sure if I'll be buying this game, and will have to wait for reviews.

By the way, I was wearing some sort of horse head, how do I remove that crap!??!! Gets annoying after a while.

Nah, that didn't work. You have to go back to the place you got that thing from and press x again and it puts it back.

@Slabs, perhaps that works too, and hopefully it does, will try later.

Anyways. I think I am buying it. Still want to read reviews just in case something I really don't like comes up.

Too bad that when you go through a door or something you get a cutscene and then end of demo :-S wish it was more then just the main hall. Ah well it's just the demo can't wait for the retail version :-D

I don't go live at all (except for downloading demo's) so there's not much point...;)

I haven't played the demo yet, but will check it out later, but there might be some sort of hack for that like with the Saint's Row demo?
I did that today and I got pretty far and managed to jump ontop of the train and I actually went on a Tour de City! :D
You can't see much though, because half of the city is an orgy of glitches, but it gives you a good idea of the size of the city, which is quite a bit bigger then it seems at first! :)
