It's still there - did you skip my post?

When all is said and done I don't care what they had to do to get the game to run at a stable 60fps. At least they have their priorities right.
Oh okay then I like the sound of that. Then again that was a replay so is the problem more than just AA? Aren't replays done at 30fps? So why are those lines there?

A lot of people seem to be having the same issues as you, even though they said they could play last weeks video fine. Che said they will upload another version tomorrow to fix this. So either wait for that one, or do like Neo said :)
Also, may try playing it in Media Player Classic


I should point out that the video ran fine on my CPU, though

Great video. The game is looking hot, but I still want to see a gameplay video, enough of the replay stuff(and I'd better not have to be a paying member of a site to watch a gimped re-encoded "HD" version).

About replays, something a little relieving. I don't believe it to be honest (lol at anyone who believes anything from T10). But we'll see.

"A note about replay cameras, Che was using a mixture of replay camera and in game cameras to make this. They cut this from different replays so thats why you notice the stutter of shots. These aren't in game replay cameras of the entire track."

"In fact, a few of the camera angles were of my own design, especially the extreme closeup ones. I was, how do they say, ADDING DRAMA to the proceedings. :)"

Depending on frame. If frame already takes too much time to render, AA is only 2x or dropped at all to ensure that a frame doesn't take longer than 16ms to render.

Damn, a flight of stairs just krept up on me the other day, and it didn't turn out so well :(

i have no idea what line your onabout dude? i just burned a dvd of the footage and played it on my 360...and feck! i just cant wait anymore for this game.

Why are we not seeing more 720p direct feed gameplay? I want to see how the game plays, not post processing heavy replays :|

EDIT: Well, here may be one of the answer to the reason we have seen so little 720p direct feed gameplay.

Seems all their PR features have taken a hit because they couldn't design a game to run well with them enabled at 60fps (hence replays, which are the best IQ, are shown to minimize the fact they are missing). A darth of 3D animated grass (looks like they tossed in just a little sprite grass to have some and it doesn't appear to animate at all), 33% reduction in cars on the track, no motion blur, and now even MSAA is taking a hit.

They have some great new shots (like this!) but they are clearing doing what they said they weren't: bullshots. First it was, "Replay is exactly like ingame" then it was "Oh, we add DOF and Motion blur" and then "they are 30fps" and now surely "well 4xMSAA as well". Add in less aggressive LOD and other post process trimmings and some shader enhancements... just like ingame... but not. ;)

Lost Planet did this. What it does is if the framerate is dropping they dynamically move the MSAA sample level from 4xMSAA to 2xMSAA. Nothing wrong with this at all... unless of course you hype 4xMSAA as a defining graphical feature in your game :|

I just found out yesterday that you can put the .wmv video on a USB flash stick and play it on 360 - it treats it as if it were an mp3 player.

And yeah it looked incredible on my set as well. B)

I apologize for the triple post.

Some new info, supposedly confirmation of 24H Le-Mans track. I used babel fish and I don't see where it says the track is coming for download. Anyways, it's in French.

I like this shot and the recent video with the muscle car when in the muscle car hood cam the car looks very similar too that. Too bad the replay angles are horrible and tend to show off a ton of nasty bloom (especially reversed hood views). When in the ingame hoodcame cars in front of you do look very good, a similar feel to the CGI cars. I cannot say the same for the world assets. Hopefully the hood view in the recent video was indeed ingame footage (why again are they holding back on ingame 720p footage?) Another tip for T10... get someone who can drive to do the videos. Whoever is driving in the recent videos... stinks.
