Has anyone tried the Time Trial mode? Or the drift mode?

Heres my stats so far (No Assists + Manual)...

Porsche 911 GT3

Fastest Lap - 1:04.512
Drift Points - 8,583

Far from good but i'll try some more later :)

Yeah, environments are awesome. I'm inclined to think they will be better than those in GT. Anyways, one guy in the FM forums got just the right shot. Again, I caught this on the first trailer/shots, but as always it just seemed like party-crashing stuff back then, now here's reality.

Again, the sad part is that not even replays show it. Now Che is saying what you see in PM shots is "what you'll see in exported replays". I don't know about you, but I'll rather check for myself, not taking this fool's word.

Man, that's bizzare. There's additional detail on the brake lights in the second shot as well.

Yep, I tried it and when I made my record on drifting score it overwrite my lap time too! It was something like 1:01:xx, after my drift it was 1:13 argh.

Fastest lap: 1:00:766 (Manual shift + all assists OFF except TCS, but will be turning that of as well I think).

That's fast Jato, I managed to get down to a 1:00,5xx time and it took me countless times. Anyway learning to hit every apex perfectly just feels so rewarding in this game I keep coming back for some more laps, so I can perfect it.

So where you play this modes? The only thing I can play is a 2 lap race agains the AI, but not drift or time trial mode.

Yeah, what's up with that? I mean, drift "mode" is just a matter of pressing a button, but time trial mode?

EDIT: Seems you have to be on Live to be able to press Y in the track select screen.

So are times uploaded to Live, can those be checked right now? Let's say, to see if Jato is cheating?

This game just looks incredible. Sure, bird-eye view doesn't look that exciting, because of the LoD. But if you play in cockpit view or hood view the cars looks awesome. Even the environment is reflected by some rims. I've taken some screenshots with my mobile phone cam. Not good quality, but it serves.




The evo just looks so incredible.

Haha, sure. My gamertag is: Jazzanova007. I believe I was postitioned around 1750 last time I checked. ;)

My current best is 1:00:405

And no, I don't use rewind. If you do, your result won't be on the list (or perhaps it'll be tagged or something, I'm not sure).

Yeah, I've had a good few laps in there already as well. But, I feel I have plenty room left for improvement and I feel I'm really learning how to race better each time. It's very satisfying. And that Porsche, ah man...it's fucking awesome!

Yeah drift mode is fun and I think if you use the rewind it wont update your score. Would be a bit stupid if it would update those times too.

I'll try to add some of you guys later today when I play so I have more times to compare. Now I only have like 4 people that have played the demo :/ I play with all assist off and with manual transmission.

Can some one explain, or if I am late to the party direct me to the post, how you go about using the clutch without releasing the brake on a controller? surely it would have made more sense having the clutch on the right bumper as you need to release the accelerator while shifting up anyway.

Middle finger for braking and index for clutch isn't going to happen, as it feels really unnatural.

I agree with you on that one the clutch should be on the right bumper it will be more easy.

Clutch on a controller sounds like a nightmare. That option is there for the new Fanatec wheel I'm sure.

Ok, my time is 1:02:xx......Still, I just did a few laps, I'm sure I can get at those 2 seconds to match Jato. Some people are posting 57's on some forums with the Porsche, i guess we'll see.
