No, yeah, that's a fair assessment of my point.

I guess if people never actually end up feeling disappointment there's no harm in going bananas taking someone's word saying it looks life altering, but it usually sparks these visuals debates where one corner religiously holds on to person x and y gospel, and the other looks at screenshots going "THAT ROCK OVER THERE CLEARLY IS A ROCK THAT IS.. SLIGHTLY.. LESS ROCK LIKE THAN... IT SHOULD BE."

It then sorta devolves into two parties going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!! into eachother's faces, then the game comes out, looks pretty neat, people play it and enjoy it. Or don't.

But I guess people have to talk about something.

This game will look amazing!, how much more so than gow2 who knows, but i have no doubt it will.

They'd do well to make it look significantly better than Gears 2. It's probably not all that possible on current hardware.

I don't really see the need for Snoop Dogg in the game, otherwise everything looks cool. I'm sort of curious about what happens in the game storywise and the gameplay will no doubt deliver so yeah...i guess it'll be a blast in a goddamn year when it's released :P

Went back and played some Gears 2 for the hell of it, and holy shit I forgot how good looking this game was. I didn't realize how close gears 2 comes to uncharted 2 or killzone when on the right maps. I forgot how many cool visual tricks that game uses.

Anyhow, I couldn't get online, not sure why, so me and a buddy played w/ bots in local MP and I was really impressed by how fun it was. It was also a really interesting challenge b/c the AI uses teamwork more than humans half the time lol, especially b/c you don't have to deal w/ the BS of all the shotgun rushing and host advantage crap. I might actually start playing local MP w/ this game more often, it's such a unique type of challenge if you avoid the shotgun bs.

edit: just noticed Marcus now has white hair. getting old is a bitch...
reminds me of how I played ball w/ some friends and was depressed I can't dunk anymore lol.
