After watching alot of the walkthrough videos (didnt watch any cutscenes) I might buy it this wednesday.

As I stated from the beginning, if I saw enough proper combat gameplay of other weapons and a upgraded Kratos and I saw things I liked I might buy it and not let the hype get me.

So I saw 2 awesome weapons in the whole game, except for default weapon, that I loved.

Claws of Hades and Nemesis Whip.

Each of these weapons has a very nice personality and feel to them, and some of the combos on both looked fast and beautiful in motion.

Nemesis Whip is like Claws of Hades but has 3-4 claws on each side and has lightning element to it. Whats so awesome about it is its fast attacks, especially when you launch them in the air for nice aerial attacks.

So I might buy it, havent decided fully yet, so I might pre-order Limited Edition tomorrow at GAME instead of regular because of 2 reasons.

1. Dominus Skin outfit (best one along with Morpheus)...here is all outfits and their "perks" http://i39.tinypic.com/118146p.jpg I hate the fact you cant get trophies if you use these, probably because of the perks.

2. Arena mode...this is very important to me, hopefully its not like DI or DMC4 were all waves takes place in one location, variety is good.

Thats it really. The two weapons you gain later on is what made me like the combat, I have no idea if the game has New Game+ though, I hope so. Would be fun to go through the game with the weapons maxed out.

Considering there is no other game in upcoming months I am buying (lost planet 2 is a big maybe) so I got enough money/credits to buy GOW3 LE.

I don't think it does have a New Game+ mode. On Invisible Walls, they mentioned that the first GoW didn't have the mode, and people complained, so they put it in GoW2, and that they were surprised that it wasn't in GoW3.

Why put it in GoW2 when people complained it wasent in Gow! and then remove it in GoW3, doesnt make any sense.

Well I hope you are wrong because New Game+ would be great to have in this type of genre as usual.

Either New Game+ or some sort of a arena mode, one of them has to be free, whichg obviously goes to New Game+.

In a action game where the fun comes from the wepons and combat and some of them you get them almost always towards the end of the game?

Like I said no thanks,I want to play with all my weapons and all powerfull from the start I want to feel badass all the time not just at the end of the game IMO.

Extended ending has nothing to do with New Game+.

That just sounds fucking daft...really..really daft.

lol couldn't say stupid? But why is that stupid? They cut the extended ending from the final product because they didn't like it and they announced that if they do release it at any point it will be free to everyone that bought the game. I don't follow how this is daft.

The way it was worded was if to say "if you get to see one type of ending we will give you DLC for free...but if we change it for the short ending we will charge" thats way way i took it lol

I decided that if I am going to buy GoW3, I rather wait for a price drop, depends if my interest in the game still holds (which I doubt).

I dont know about you but i like many types of games in all sorts f genres and i "hope" all gamers are like that.. i could never stick to one single type of game, would drive me fucking soft.

i'm doing the opposite...buying GOW3 day one, will pick up FF13 some time in the future after i've completed the 10 or so games i have on the go...depending on the price FF13 is by that point will determine if i buy it or rent it. hopefully by then it'll be dirt cheap and i'll just buy it.

Rented the game earlier today. So far the game is pretty good but nothing special I'd say. The graphics look a lot better in motion than in all the screen shots though, and the scale does add some really cool scenes. The gameplay and platforming are still weak and far too easy but the overall polish and presentation make up for it for the most part. I just wish I could get past how much I fucking hate Kratos... what a D bag.

Anyhow, I really had fun with GoW and GoW2 and so far this is probably on par with the first and maybe a little behind the second one. But in terms of the whole "epic" feel to a game, this game brings that feeling in a VERY satisfying way. I certainly am entertained, even if the game isn't really blowing me away so far.

I'd say that the hardcore fans are gonna really love it though.

Well after playing another two hours this morning wide awake I had quite a bit more fun. Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the combat but most people like it so I wouldn't let my words worry those who are already a fan as it really does play just like the previous games. If it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess. But the game's production values are certainly something to behold. I do wish we got to spend more time in the "epic" scale scenarios, as too often it feels like we get teased with those parts. I just wish those parts were a bigger part of the game, but not a major gripe.

So far it certainly is a very entertaining game, just not something I could see myself wanting to spend more than one playthrough with. Looking forward to seeing the ending though. I screwed myself too b/c I have classes and studying all rest of week til weekend. Gonna be hard not to keep playing.

Just got home with my copy! Going to dive in very soon, i'm soo excited :o
