This was from a preview a month ago mostly so it's public domain but possibly a spoiler for some. Your mileage may vary!

Scarab battle . It's bigger than the Corpser from Gears and that was in a cave, not to mention that the Corpser had zero AI and there was one way to kill it. The Scarab will actually hunt you around all the land around which you are driving around trying to kill it. And then you still have to board it and take out the pilots!

Game. Set and Match.

Acert we can't show you it YET.

wait till the game comes out. we should be lucky we're even getting to see this much of the game!

COD4 was bested by Halo 3 in pretty much all areas except for character detail and poly count + animation. Halo 3 wins everything else. COD4's lighting is good, but not nearly as good as Halo 3's. Halo 3 has much more scale, more enemies, 4 player co-op. Still amazed at how Bungie achieved such amazing visual fidelity on such an impressive scale. I've never seen a game receive as much attention to its art as Halo 3 appears to have. Tsavo Highway level is just fantastic.

I'm extremely surprised as to how Lebato isn't impressed. When bungie said "this is what Halo 3 is going to look like" they were right and the game now exceeds the environment showcased in that E3 06 demo greatly. I remember all the sections of the environment that still didn't receive any artistic attention.

I think Lebato is impressed, but doesn't want to admit he was wrong about Halo 3 graphically :)

I remember the mp comments you made. That it was wishful thinking that SP would look noticeably better than the MP. Well here we are months later looking at SP footage with the kind of visual fidelity nobody expected.

Not satisfied with the ai? Animation from previews appears to be games most improved aspect. Not satisfied with the animations (considering how many things we have to fight and how cool battles look the animations are MORE than acceptable) The effects? They are fantastic.. Would you prefer they decrease the size of the environments? Tone down the draw distance?

People on the HBO forums are saying that Nathan Fillion from Firefly/Serenity is voicing a marine in Halo 3. His alleged line appears 37 seconds into the first gameplay video on this site from Leipzig - the line is like "lets get these men out of these caves".

I personally do hear the resemblence, but you never know.

That would be sweet if they modeled a Sgt. or something after him in the game. He would be the most badass marine in the game after Sarge.

Shut up man! Halo 3 butchers every other game in animation. Perhaps the chief had diarrhea, and so to not make a mess he just walks a little stiff.

Besides it also has 4 player online co-op and great art!
