Pre-ordered the box of men edition. There are so rarely boxes of men where the men look good, or if they do look good it's rare that I'm invested enough to even want men in my box. This time though? Huge Halo fan, and Noble team is men worthy of coming in a box. To me.

Preordered standard edition, premium versions ain't worth it for me, €45 is a great spot for me. Legendarry edition will probably be easy to find really cheap a year from now since shops will try to clear shelf space and the box is huuge and that's when I might be tempted to pick it up.

Well, this is a bit like how you're prepared to do some really weird stuff in the spur of a sexy moment, drunk on.. I dunno, pheromones I guess? Or alcohol!

I think I'll be a bit too sober a year from now to want - or even appreciate - putting things up my arse. I mean buying plastic men. And putting those up my arse.

I made a.. bit of a graphic allusion to being momentarily excited enough to do something you otherwise wouldn't.


I'm just really getting hyped for this, and in this excited haze, I'm spending a fortune on extra packaging and a chunk of plastic that I will promptly place on my shelf and forget about until I'm dusting. Then I'll lift it up, dust some under it, put it down, dust their little helmets a bit, and move on.

And as he noted custom games are still limited to friend lists. I will get excited when they allow us to browse active custom map games. The current "solution" of tags is anything a free CMS can do.

I got chewed out for saying this on the news forum. People were like "no wai ur whole party can join!!!" Duh. It's still a big limitation.

Now, if we saw a custom map playlist, which I don't think bungie's really talked about, it would be a pretty reasonable solution. It wouldn't be a great solution, but if we saw popular user created content rise to the top and possibly included in a match-making setting, it would still be a big step forward.

So far as the custom map brower, being able to browse the fileshare online and tell it to download to your Xbox is always going to trump the usability of an in game interface I think.

Very true, but the fact that you can now rate any map, this will quickly filter out the crap and as he stated, the very best maps will make their way into matchmaking which is miles better than what Halo 3 forge had to offer.

Did they 100% confirm that user created content playlist? I'm just a little cautious about this stuff. I remember when they said there would be a custom games browser in Halo 3.

I dont think there will be a custom map playlist, but you will be able to search and rate maps. The best best maps will be placed into matchmaking for the world to see.
We'll have more maps of our own and as Tyson alluded to above, we’ll be on the lookout for hot new community content soon after launch. Alongside Forge, your ability to share content with other players has also been given a much needed boost (as have our own internal tools for taking and evaluating map submissions for inclusion in matchmaking)
