I just read this thread. This mades me sad :( gamersyde is a great site with a great comunity. I have been on this site since the xboxyde days. I don't post that much, but I always check the news section and the forums.

To put it in a nutshell, servers cost money and the little money we get from advertising won't be enough to cover everything. Also, like I said on several occasions, the team is small, we have less and less time to translate our reviews and previews (since I am basically the only one who can do it...), we have jobs on our own which keep us away from the few events we are invited to, not to mention the fact that big US websites get most trailers in advance and we can't compete.

I used to go on more popular sites like Gamespot and IGN before. But then I was googling for some games' videos on WMV and was lucky to find this small comunity and liked here so far. Too bad most people don't know this site yet. The reason why those other big US websites are so popular is because some of them have been covering games since the first PlayStation gen. As time will pass this site might get better recognized as them. I hate when those other big sites judge games with boring reviews and give rates based own their own opinion. Instead of those boring reviews here we can simply find more gameplay videos so the members can make most of the judging which is great.

Is the future of Gamersyde dark? A year has passed and present still looks bright here. Maybe this question should be answered by Nostradamus, he is the apocalyptic prediction expert. If nothing happens a month from now as he predicted we can all be just fine.
