GTA better learn something from this one.
Take one 360, add some chopped PS3, stir in some Wii, a sprinkling of DS Lite. Enjoy :)
Fanboy=Ban boy.

/feels dumb
3rd person Action Adventure games PLease Microsoft, that's where you weakness lies.
The poorest of vehicle controls, slow arse animations, slow movement, poor camera controls and the dumbest of dumb, the automatic aiming, i mean i couldnt even see there were people around and it would lock onto them and kill em.
I dont know, it feels like a this is a crappy low budget game with a good budget skin. Very misleading indeed.

Helicopters are great, aswell as my new favs the Bat-boat (speedboat thingy) and the Batmobile/Tumbler (prototype-MV). Vehicular combat is great, not involved or requiring tedious aiming (ala Full Auto), but fun and rewarding like a game should be. Watching stuff go boom at critical moments gives it a big budget hollywood feel. Motion blur is good, even if its only used to cover up muddy textures, it adds some realism and sense of speed. It's the little things that impress me with this game, reversely its the little things that annoy me aswell.
I can easily understand why some would be put off by this game, and I won't even try to argue differently. All I know is, the moment I took the Helicopter higher than the demo would allow, and then jumped out and free-fell (free-fall'ed??) to the Bat-boat and took off all cool, I was sold. Hopefully you guys will experience a moment like this before you delete the demo, if you haven't already :).

Animations, shadows, textures and whatnot can easily be mistaken for an Xbox game, not exactly a "next-gen" experience.
But, the game does have some stuff that's pretty fun to fool around with, like the stuff mentioned above, but the question is; for how long...
Ever since this game came up I never digged it and I still think it's a pretty bad 360 game actually, but I can imagine people enjoying this game, as I actually enjoy fooling around with the demo, but I don't think this game's worth the 60 euro's it's going to cost (Europe anyway), at all, but it may be worth a rental in desperate times...
There it is: next-gen!

But as I said it’s fun.
Is it worth 60 euros? If the finished game has enough variety and longevity, it’ll definitely worth it. We’ll see.
But yeah, I'm enjoying the demo, that said, it's kinda of a dry period for gaming on the 360 for a while now anyway, so any demo can keep me busy for a bit longer, whereas otherwise, I might not even have bothered with it...
Anyway, 60 euro's for an Xbox port at this stage just feels like I'm stealing out of my own wallet, and is just not worth it imo, 30 Euro's I might consider it...
There it is: next-gen!
Atleast I'd recommend people to gamefly it, or rent it, whichever is easier. I think its a game thats atleast worth a try. I don't believe the demo did the game justice from what I've seen in the vids. Grappling hook should've been standard, as its the coolest gizmo Rico's got. Either way, I predict alot of mixed reviews by both journalists and users. But this and Saints Row are gonna be my two most played games till Gears of War and Rainbow Six.

And yeah, that hurts, Europe allready pays the same amount in Euro's you guys pay in dollars, and in some cases, Europe pay's full price, while the US pay's half price... :(

The time for SLI DX10 is coming... (Call me Crysis).
Yeah, SLI DX10 does sound very nice, but I think the only Crysis that will get me is a crysis on my bank account... ;)
There it is: next-gen!
PC gaming is expensive, it always was. Not that “HD” console gaming comes much cheaper anyway…

At times I think the game looks great but I do acknowledge there are problems. To me, they're all little things but there are a lot of them. People and objects disappearing very quickly, somewhat glitchy shadows, very obvious pop-in. I'll admit there are more but they are the 3 that spoil it somewhat for me. The motion-blur I quite like actually and the vehicle controls work for me.
It's been in development for three years so always will have been a port. Technologically, the size of the world, all procedurally generated is pretty cool! The concept I think is fantastic, so for a first effort they've pulled off a lot of things quite well. It would be nice to see them have a proper bash at a next gen only sequel.
I particually like the lighting, the stunts and the vehicles. Free-falling down to the bat boat at sunset and caning it around the island just makes me want to go on holiday, very pretty!
I'll give it a go when it comes out. Saint's Row for me is all about the multi-player :)
