Not sure if that helps, but it might give you a hint as to what you need to do.
I suspect this is especially one of those areas where understanding the japanese text dialog would really help you.

I was wondering, what's the connection with Kaim and the Twin's mother who died? I know she was the same girl who appeared in one of the Kaim's early dream scenes. I kind of F'd up and saw the scene already, but it was in Japanese, so now I must know. I understood the twins calling her mom, but didn't know what she called Kaim before she passed.

And with that, I think I'm done with the videos. I've done spoiled myself a bit much. Still, sounds like the story is pretty interesting so far. Will be interesting to see how Sakaguchi wraps it all out in the end(if he wraps it up). I hope they bring that book over to the west too.

haha, no. I've seen enough videos and no. Not even close. Facial detail is lacking overall, and their eyes are typical last gen stuff. Their eyebrowns are in constant movement that has little to do to what is happening. As for reflections on eyes........well, that's something you see in ME all the time. Overall, no way my friend.
The hair does look better though, I'll give you that one. In fact, the hair looks awesome for the most part.
Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!
I didn't say reflections I said refraction, where the water builds up on the eye lid, its something i've not seen in a game before.

I didn't say refelctions I said refraction, caused by water in the eyes.

That whole video is just cutscenes.

Awesome isn't it.. ;)
Besides after watching it, the running around parts seem to have been edited.

Awesome? Not really, looks like traditional facial animations. They are good but no ME or Half Life 2 good.
As for your last comment, I don't know what that has to do with anything.

Anyways I still think they are just as good as ME's facial animations.
But your entitled to your opinion just as I am mine.

Man this game really is awesome I'm having a lot of fun with it. Really getting the impression all the hype about Shigematsu being involved and the potential for this game is delivering in a way even the biggest fanboy (guilty as charged) couldn't have predicted. The emotion comes across as well as the best story driven games around or at least all the games I've found to be fantastic from a story perspective and Lost Odyssey is up there with the best of them and it may even have an advantage due to how Kaim's past is used as an extra plot device, but reviewers actually acknowledging that is another story entirely.
Yea yea it's a 4 disc RPG and I'm only one disc 1, but I knew pretty damn early while playing Kotor would be an awesome game when I was talked into giving it a try and perhaps due to how much sooner Lost Odyssey's story appears to be opening up in great fashion I could say with certainty the feeling that I'm playing an awesome game here is even stronger.
I think the performance is really solid and that stuff coming from the guy on IGN was all one major play for attention. I see where he got some of his complaints from, but no doubt in my mind they have been grossly exaggerated because the fps drops I do see aren't that big an issue where I would think such strong statements are warranted. I've played and enjoyed games that were far worse off in this department. The loading as I suspected even before getting my hands on this seems to be the biggest gripe, at least it is for me.
This might seem stupid, but I find myself having a surprising amount of fun doing normal sword attacks in this game a lot more than I have in any other jrpg I've played and the combat rings have a great deal to do with that. The way the game is playing right now from a combat perspective seems to suggest to me that the developers maybe had a plan in mind from the get go to introduce certain skills or abilities sparingly so that when you eventually get them it just feels that much more special because they didn't spoil you too much early on. While I wait for the other cool components of the combat system to come my way though I find myself enjoying what I have right now much more than I did in previous jrpgs and that has a lot to do with how rewarding the more simpler less flashy parts of the combat are made to seem to have a bit of depth or slight bit of skill to them.
I really do love using the combat rings. The magic use in this game, to me, feels like a privilege that I'm more than happy to learn :)
The skill linking system I think is also another key contributor to how nice this battle system feels. By putting in these strict rules about how things are done I get the same feeling of accomplishment to see my immortals get an ability as I did in an older rpg like ff7 where I would always get so excited when I knew for a fact I spotted a piece of materia on the ground that fit the description of a summon materia.
To quickly add due to how much I enjoy the parts of the story I can actually understand due to the english voice acting I really get the feeling I must be missing out on some awesome stuff from the purely japanese text dialog that I can't understand because there are quite a number of moments I wish I could know what is being said and I get the feeling its the perfect compliment to all the voice dialog I'm hearing, but thats one of the things we gotta deal with when we don't understand the language.
