OK heres what i picked up from the 2 new vids.

1) Casey basically confirms nothing they've said in the past have been lies (ME is Shepard's story, your character carries through) while still emphasizing the teaser means something for the story. Basically, he's telling us if we spent the time to make Shepard in ME1, he will carry through and anything that happens to him will leave fans satisfied (I can't imagine how we'd be satisfied if he's dead).

2) I also enjoyed the part where Casey prided their progress on making the shooter elements top notch. I was already a fan of the action. If they can satisfy my RPG needs and my shooter needs, I'll be in heaven.

3) Casey also states that ALL choices you made in the first game will not only carry through into the second game but also into the third, he claims that nothing before has ever been done like this in a game?

4) All the new info still points me to believe that part of the story will envolve you playing as different characters looking for Shepard after seeing the KIA message?

5) Also a few extended clips of the 2 Krogans and i can say with 95% certainty that the one with no helmet on is Wrex, so who is the other?.

Cant wait for more info and footage, almost finished the book too.

That's some great analysis there BlackHawk.

I particularly agree with point number 4; I reckon part of the story will involve your squad trying to locate Shepard after receiving the KIA message.

Well, I can safely say that Wrex won't be coming back in my game - he quite rightly received a pistol to the face (well, from what I can remember).

Thanks Blmbox, I was going to cap Wrex too and came mighty close, but i spared him as i had spent so much time building him up into a mighty tank in combat. :)

Yet again very nice Mr Blackhawk.

Here is an IGN Video Interview: Glad to hear DLC for ME1 is incoming!

http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/142/14235013/vi...

Also the below has now been kinda confirmed by Bioware to be true
The second chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy takes you to the darkest reaches of space, where you must uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of humans across many worlds. Prepare yourself for a suicide mission to save mankind. Travel the galaxy to assemble a team of soldiers and combat specialists, and launch an all-out assault on the heart of enemy territory.

Yeah, nothing too exciting to be honest. The usual bs talk I think, but understandable considering the game is far off release.

New artwork and interveiw

One obvious effect will be the impact of pivotal story-decisions during Mass Effect 1. A central character killed because of your actions will remain dead in Mass Effect 2, for example. But there are also plenty of unexpected twists and turns along the way.

"Yeah, we actually get gasps and things. Because you don't know what you're going to see, and I guess that's the thing about the games we make. We always want that unpredictability to always be a part of that experience," said Doctor Greg. "Because with shooters, you have all these bad guys and then eventually you shoot the boss at the end - you know what's going to happen.

"What we make is purposefully designed, and you'll see it in both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins. It's getting more and more grey and complicated in terms of who's the good guy? Who's the bad guy? It's not as clear, and I think that it's exciting to make entertainment that's got mature themes.

"There's also mature writing, the complexity," he added. "I think our industry gets a lot of knocks on the quality of the stories, but there are certain examples of where it's really progressing. We think our stuff is one [example]."

Fan feedback, Doctor Ray went on, played an important role when addressing gameplay mechanics that worked in Mass Effect 1, as well as those that didn't.

"So some of [the changes are] about amping up the intensity; ME2 is an RPG but it's a shooter-RPG. We're really focusing on the intensity of the action experience," said Doctor Ray. "Also, tightening the exploration. Uncharted worlds, they're still optional, but we want to make all of them feel important and feel like they're all augmenting and improving your main passage through the game. You're going to really feel rewarded for having gone through them. It's a much tighter experience as a result.

"Moment-to-moment intensity - being able to grab control of the conversations - we didn't do in the first game. Small things too, like reducing the elevator speed times and things like that. Those are important to fans. We recognise that.

"Mass Effect 2, I'm really excited about it," he added, "because it's really taking the Mass Effect franchise to another level."

Mass Effect 2 will be out on Xbox 360 and PC next year.

Damn, the teasing is unbearable. It's my most anticipated game already. I have to lock up myslef in a shed and wait until release date only to find out it's been pushed to a later one. ^^

Great artwork, they're all great. I hope this time they capture more of the scale they tried to achieve in the first... so it's more like the artworks.

Good to know that Fox news have not forced them to censor anything for ME2.
VG247: Anything controversial this time? In the same regard as the…

Greg: The big over-reaction?

Ray:
We don’t shy away from emotionally engaging moments. We try to make them contextually appropriate. They’re not gratuitous for the sake of gratuity. We put them in to actually drive an emotional response, but the journey you’ve gone through to get to that point in the game, it has to feel like that is a real point, a real outcome that makes sense to the player to get that point. They’re not there for shock value.

If there’s surprise and delight in the emotionally engaging moment then that’s great too, but they have to feel contextually appropriate. We just make games with great stories and characters and, just like in real life, some of the interactions are emotionally charged between some of the characters. There could be all types of different emotions. And even the experience itself, we strive for emotion… We’re not shying away from it.

I don't know if playing it from the hard drive is best. I tried it and it seemed to run worse :/

It loaded a tiny bit faster but there were glitches with the sound and auto save.

A friend of mine also had the same effects. Anyone else had problems?

Bioware says - http://www.oxm.co.uk/article.php?id=9491
"If Shephard is after Cerberus, why is a Geth shown?" Bioware asks OXM. "Unless the teaser implies the Geth are working for Cerberus... but it's a pro-human organisation, so why would they employ the Geth, an alien-created machine race? All this would only make sense if Cerberus was under the control of the Reapers..."
Under the control of the Reapers? maybe the illusive man is trying to use the geth or the colectors but it backfires on him?

I know EA like the iPhone but WTH! oh well i have one so its cool for me but what about all those that don't, gonna have to wait and see what else is coming?

A new Mass Effect game is coming to an iPhone and iPod Touch near you! Newly announced Mass Effect: Jacobs Story tells the story of a character in the Mass Effect universe by the name of (you’ll never guess it) Jacob. It bridges the story between the two games and fills you in on the back story of some of the characters you will meet in Mass Effect 2.

Bioware: “Here is your opportunity to play the story of Jacob Taylor, a biotic-powered super-soldier who stumbles across a plot to terrorize civilization’s greatest beacon of hope. Can you prevent a heinous attack that threatens to knock humanity off the galactic stage?”

The game will supposedly have a two hour long storyline with elements of both a graphic novel and a top-down shooter. The game will be priced at $2.99
