Drew Karpyshyn is GONE everybody, he's packing up his typewriter and calling it quits at Bioware. So the creative force behind so many games we've played, KOTOR, Jade Empire, Never Winter, Mass Effect and TOR is leaving the building.
i will be buying it for 360 because of previous 2 and save files, but i am worrired if its THIS shit on xbox?
My xbox is not handy to me right now :(

Hopefully the technical issues will be worked out, or else PS3 gamers will be waiting for a patch.
Single player intro was big fat mehh. Talk about making the first two games feel pointless. Now I haven't kept up with the story since the end of the second game (didn't play any of the DLCs), so if it has been explained in some iphone game or comic or novel can someone inform me as to why the kick ass hero of the universe is no longer a spectre and has been retired from the military!?!
is gloriously incandescent.

Because you have to start at the very beginning, the slow climb upwards can be a bit frustrating, but the more time you invest in it, the more ADDICTIVE it becomes. As each character class opens up, you experience gameplay from a totally different perspective. I started as Human Engineer, but soon other character classes opened up. Drell, Quarian and my personal favorite......the Krogan. Let me tell you, there's nothing like tearing up the damn field with your Krogan, charging towards enemies like a damn freight train. I don't know if was a glitch, but I hit a Cerberus trooper and knocked him clear across the field and out of view. Lmao!
The sense of community among Mass Effect gamers is unlike anything I've recently experienced on Xbox Live. lol! People HELPING each other, aiding one another, indeed GETTING ALONG together. And the cross chatter is so cool! For example, there's this one enemy that comes on the field that everyone absolutely loves and dreads at the same time. When you hear the words "PHANTOM!" There's almost a collective, "Oh Shit!" from everyone over their headsets.
The Phantom is female-ninja enemy who strikes with a sword with insta-kills. Because this enemy is like a boss that can take out everyone with a few swings or stabs, cooperation is required in order to take her down. Her arrival induces panic and laughter. There's nothing funnier than watching a Salarian and a Krogan (I know they're supposed to be mortal enemies) huddling together like children, trying to figure out what the fuck they should do. LOL! When the Phantom(s) goes down there's an audible sigh of relief from all players.
As you progress and open up new classes, skills sets and weapons, you have to almost gauge the clock or else time will just start running completely away from you. As I said before, it's highly addictive once you start investing yourself into it.
So Bioware actually scored with the multiplayer demo and sucked with single player demo. Who would have thunk it?
I have a hard time deciding which class to go with, I am constantly swapping between Soldier and Engineer.
Soldier has the grenades and the Concussive shot as Human Male, and Male Human Engineer has that nice fire thingy that locks on, and the orb thing that keeps stunning (though quite weak).
Real Madrid C.F. fan.

What you really need to see in action is a Salarian, that class is UNSTOPPABLE. I haven't unlocked it yet, but someone I was playing with had this class and he decimated the entire field.

IMO the only class that got stuck to impress me is the Engineer.
I love using the Droid to span it behind them and keep them busy while the rest of us gets a few seconds of breather to take them out quickly, especially if you manage to get the shielded bastards to turn back.
I really like this, very addictive IMO.
Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!

Talk about a head fake! And it looks like the multiplayer will loom larger than any of us could have expected. The multiplayer doesn't just factor in as additional war assets, but ALSO contributes to your war "readiness" The war readiness factor is JUST AS important as assets because assets have a factor that decays the longer you drag your SP campaign experience out. So while you can take all the time you want, there's a penalty given for taking too long. So theses characters and class types that you've unlocked are important, they are now actually contributing to your efforts against the Reapers and keeping your war asset values HIGH. It's also important to note that when Hackett starts sending in co-op missions, these characters you've been grooming for battle are the ones that are going to carry them out.
If you haven't been playing, then it's my suggestion that you take your time and not plow through the SP campaign without building your characters and their strengths up first. My rating is N7 120, so I'm pretty high.
So the MP character class level can be imported from the MP demo to SP? Pretty nice.
I dont understand the penalty thingy though :(
