Just started watching that Gametrailers video and then saw that there's some kind of 'announcement'. Think it's time to go on a media blackout for this game.

Yeah they mention a cool feature. Wish i didn't see the video. Not going to see anything else from now too (if i can resist :P).

No co-op in Elder scrolls thank you. Game is awesome as it is, as a fully SP game. Theres plenty other games with co-op.

I`m actually looking forward to playing Skyrim due to it being a single player experience. There have been soooo many games during the past 12 months that have had co-op / multiplayer included, that it`s about time I got all `Selfish` lol and played something that revolves around me and me only!

By the way, are these shots of the PC or 360/console version?

Nah i say leave the SP alone, or atleast do it like Mass Effect and have complete separate coop missions or stories, so as not to impact the SP development in any way.

The Ice shout looks awesome, as that one that enchants weapons (wind around it), making it swing faster.

It's so close i can taste it already.

You guys don't seem to get it.... the co-op that ManThatYouFear and I are talking about would impact the SP less than having separate co-op missions/stories/etc...

It'd be the SP game...BUT...you could have two people playing. No additional co-op "features" would be necessary.

I don't understand what the problem is...aside from some weird notion that the mere presence of co-op means you can't play it SP.

To implement coop in the sp would take allot of resorces and dev cycles, which in turn would take away from the sp dev cycles, thats why i would not want it in a Scrolls game.

Why not just use a separate team to impliment the co-op, mp component. That's what a lot of people are seemingly doing and no one minds that.

Granted the secondary team is usually not as skilled and those additions end up write offs, but they are made none the less.

Like Mass Effect as i said, that i would not mind as the main team get left to concentrate on the SP.

its not about not playing it, its the same reason people dont want it for mass effect, they fear it will effect the quality\length or polish of the sp game.

Just loving the gameplay footage :)

I dont like the idea of coop in mass effect, and would hate it in this game, no matter how you slice it, money and time spent on coop/mp would take away from what could be spent on the SP.

To actually implement co-op in Skyrim would give the devs lot of work.
They would have to work on quests, how the world would react with more players etc. If they implemented co-op thats how i would like it, instead of a just simple drop in/out feature...

And look at Bethesda games, when they get launched, the ammount of bugs they bring, and they already have a big team. Imagine them adding co-op lol.

I remember read some interview with Todd Howard they mention co-op, he spoke about it, they tought about implement it, but didn't find the correct way to do it (if i remember right).

I don't really hate co-op. I just want the best SP game they can give me, as i said there's plenty of other co-op games out there, no need to all have them. But i'm sure in the future of the series/bethesda future games will have some sort of co-op.

but like i said in my FIRST post on this discussion..DLC few months down the line

that wont effect SP.

to all the people questioning it though, seriously wtf? just because the OPTION is there does not mean you have to use it.. you dont have to use it.. you DONT have to use it....

DLC has been in full swing with every dev for 5yrs now, and has nothing to do with implenting a balanced coop in a massive Open world RPG, without effecting the quality of the sp.

I'm pretty sure he means that you can craft a good single player campaign and release it, then start on the co-op bit and release it later as DLC.
