I will probably start adding more points to block and get some nice shield because if you dont have a shield blocking is out of the question even if you do two handed weapon block.
It does definitely get much more "satistfying" using a shield + weapon, especially when you shield bash, slow time. My new favorite is when you time your block perfectly when the enemy attacks, makes them stunned a bit and you dont take any damage.
It has much more strategy and timing to the combat compared to any other type of melee combat, definitely going with this type.

"When improving your Skills, heed the following advice:
In general, it's better to increase your Skills and level up naturally, rather than trying to find ways to exploit the game. In fact, it may make your adventure harder, since you'll lack the gear and tactics needed to survive higher-level combat.
There is no fixed "maximum level" (i.e., Level 50) for you to attain. However, if you were to raise all of your Skills to 100, this would - eventually - take you to around Level 80. As you're only able to choose one perk each time you level up, and there are well over 200 Skill-based perks, don't fixate on obtaining every single one, as that's impossible. Instead, focus on improving the Skills you're most interested in, and ignore perks you won't take advantage of, even if they're in a Skill you use constantly."

You're not actually going to make it to 80 perks MTYF. That shit would take forever to do legitimately. Don't take all of enchanting or smithing, for sure, or you'll certainly come up short in other areas. You should plan for 50 or less perks up front.. that way you're not trying to fill out skills when you're already at level 50.
And 40/40? Just Famitsu continuing to make themselves look irrelevant. Skyrim.. perfect? LOL.
Most annoying things atm for me is either the companion following derp-tastrophy or the difficulty which decides I can saw through Dragons no problems but some apprentice mage in a hovel can one shot me with a frost spell.
