Trailer was ok, nothing special, not sure i like the idea of not being able to control my parties attacks in combat though, guess i will have to see how that plays out.

Better than the one with stupid horse on the front... but both could be miles better.

I don't think its lazy they obviously felt the minimilist look was what they wanted, not sure why though.

I actually like squares white-front-with-logo covers for the european releases. No clutter, not not ugly and you instantly recognize what game it is. Just remove lightning and i'm happy.

Anything is better than this style of cover in my opinion. My vote for worst cover I've ever seen on a game goes to 360 Guitar Hero 2, and this is basically paraphrasing that! :O



...Okay maybe not really. The GH2 one is.. pretty.. pretty bad.

same, and i'm not even a FF fan, the covers where really nice and simple tho. and while this new cover has that, it also has a giant render of the main character....seriously, i've seen sigs that look more professional.

I bet you like the orange box cover! The best games, the best cover! Well at least the games are awesome (and I downloaded the games so I don't need to look that box in my collection).. but yeah I kinda like the FFXIII cover, still it would be better without that character.

Yeah you just quoted me on something i already admited to, i like box art i like the games to have some effort, and it fucks me off when there lazy and screw it up, like when Sony change there box design.. thank you VERY fucking much you bunch of wankers, now nothing bloody matches, arseholes.

I actually kind of like a stroke of crazy to liven things up a bit. I mean since I got into RPGs, Shin Megami Tensei has pretty much established itself as my go-to series of choice. Although most of that is attributed to completely bizarre stories and hardcore combat, part of it is that you never just have "a goblin" or "a ghost". All of its enemies are BANANAS and really interesting to look at. I think Final Fantasy's japanese take on medieval europe and its folklore approach has grown a little bit stale, and for me, going a bit nutty with these things earns it some personality.

I mean yeah it's defnitely somewhat GOOFY, but at least it's not just.. you know.. A LADY WITH.. HAIR AND.. A DRESS.. COMING OUT OF THE GROUND AND THROWING ROCKS.

I agree with your concept of trying something new Simon but they came out of JP conventions and went straight into Western stereotypes... I mean those summons should clearly be called Transformers.

they can try something new but they should be innovative at least. Either way, it's a welcome change from like you said "A LADY WITH.. HAIR AND.. A DRESS.. COMING OUT OF THE GROUND AND THROWING ROCKS" but they need to come up with new concepts.

    Driftwood @Blackninja: je doute qu'ils osent modifier ce genre de choses, car le jeu original n'était pas construit sur de telles mécaniques. Avec un remake, tu dois penser aussi aux fans de la première heure. (il y a 24 minutes)
