Alright so I called GAME right now and pre-ordered BioShock CE.

I told them that there is two editions, one is Collectors and the other one is Limited.

The Collectors Edition will have the Big Daddy statue and the soundtrack while the Limited edition will not, so I want the Collectors Edition.

And the guy said in their database it says "Collectors Edition", so I got it :P

Come to "Big daddy" :P

Edit: I called GAME to see the price for the Collectors Edition and it costs...799 (kronor)!!!!...like what the fuck!

Anyway, it gotta be the reaosn why the Big Daddy statue is in it.
Ah well, I am still getting :P

Well after a consideration, I think I will get the regular version, 799 SEK is just a bit too much.
I will just wait for the OST to go online as usual and I will get it like that.

Is the HARD mode as hard as they make it seem or is it a a pinch on your arm hard.

Some details for people wondering about BioShock's early release.
I have just gotten somewhat official information that the game will be sold through every store as of now that already has stock of the game and they will be shipping the game rapidly to all stores. They have advised that there will be alot of confusion among retailers and that due to these issues, you may not be able to get your copy until things have been cleared up.

I checked Amazon, Best Buy, Circuit City, Best Buy Canada, FutureShop and Walmart online stores and all dates are still indicating 08/21/07. I would guess this will be mixed by the morning. I can confirm for a fact that the “Available Now” commercials are real since I have seen them with my own eyes.

Well i also tried the demo late last night and had to shut it off as my heart could not take all the sudden sounds and wispers the game throws at you (Surround sound only served to deepen my terror), i shall try it again today when i get home and there is still daylight!! so OPS you are not alone :P

hmmm, maybe in the US. amazon.co.uk and game.co.uk still list it at 24, which means i'll get it 28ish, and in the meantime you scary pussies will have shat your pants lots of times and finished the game.

I hope all the leading clues to the plot are just red herrings, to have something so lovingly crafted be ruined by a shallow ending would be disappointing.

Yup, only oblivion has gotten this much praise across reviews and that came out well over a year ago! hmmm.... i suppose you can put Gears there too.

This game should make the wait for the worlds greatest, a little easier, cant wait!

Well it is not a surprise that ALL the reviews are giving the game 10 or 9...it is good, and from the demo we played we shouldnt expect low.

I would not worry too much about the dimenishment of difficulty caused by the vita-chambers. Just turn the game up to the hard setting, that pretty much takes care of the game ever getting too easy.

Just in case it was not mentioned in this thread earlier, there is a way you can unlock the "HARD" difficulty setting in the demo (see link below). I played the demo again on the max difficulty, and it is plenty difficult for any gamer, vita-chamber or not.

Agreed. I found the game's atmosphere pretty stellar, and it definitely conveyed "creepy" extremely well. However, nothing about the enemies was scary at all, and I even found that some of them pulled me out of the game a little. I'm definitely not a fan of how quick and jerky some of their animations are during the non-interactive portions.

I'm definitely hoping for a lot more enemy variety, and I get the feeling that fighting Big Daddies may be sort of scary(although..maybe not so much with unlimited respawns w/ no penalty where the enemies retain damage you inflicted).
I swear, there better be some sea creature enemies. I mean, if you can have a plasmid that makes bees(in an underwater city?) attack people, I don't see why someone wouldn't have a plasmid that makes their octopus attack you.
