Ubisoft has unveiled the most ambitious expansion to date for their Assassin's Creed franchise. Releasing March 10th 2022 for $39.99, Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök will let players continue their Viking saga as Eivor who embraces his/her destiny as Odin and tries to rescue Baldr from the giant Surtr. Ubisoft also relvealed Assassin's Creed Crossover Stories, free content launching December 14 with "A Fated Encounter" for Assassin's Creed Valhalla and the story "Those Who Are Treasured" for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. A reminder that Discovery Tour: Viking Age for Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available for free to all owners of the game. A glimpse at what offers the mode inside with a trailer and screens.

Following Discovery Tour: Ancient Egypt and Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece, the new educational experience based on Assassin's Creed Valhalla will launch on October 19th. Discovery Tour: Viking Age will be free to all owners of the game and a $19.99 standalone version will also be available on Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store. This standalone version will reach other platforms in early 2022.

Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will offer a second year of content. Players can currently jump into the recently-released Wrath of the Druids expansion, and will soon be able to dive into the second expansion, The Siege of Paris, as well as to learn more about the history of the time period in Discovery Tour: Viking Age. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second expansion, The Siege of Paris, will release later this summer.

Wrath of the Druidsn, the first expansion of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available and brings players to Ireland to unravel the mysteries of an Ancient Druid cult. Trailer, screens and details after the jump.

As promised, we are going to be focused on HDR content for at least a day or two, depending on the time required to process all the footage we have in store. We're back on Assassin's Creed Valhalla on Playstation 5 so if you're curious to see what England looks like in glorious HDR, you know what to do.

For once, no videos to feed you but only a series of screenshots we took while playing some of the games we have been sent on Playstation 5. In the menu today, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Demon's Souls, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Days Gone. Bon appétit!

Our PS5 coverage is far from over, with Assassin's Creed Valhalla now, which benefits from a nice visual boost, not to mention the framerate, compared to the PS4 Pro version we reviewed. Everything isn't perfect though as we are sad to report that tearing has invited itself to the party and it can be pretty visible (during some cutscenes or in some locations like enemy camps or even caves). Oddly enough, in the biggest vilages we've seen it seemed to be non existent, or close to it anyway. Let's hope the developers will find a way to get rid of it without sacrificing the smoothness of the game.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be released next week but we already have some PS4 Pro footage to show you guys tonight. We'll start with a first video focused on the game's early environments but we'll be back with more gameplay oriented sequences as soon as our ongoing encoding file is done.
