GSY Review PC

For once, rather than talking about games, we're going to take a few minutes of your time to talk about the arrival of a long-awaited service on the Steam Deck. So, no videos on the menu today, but a few Gamersyde images (in 800p, obviously, keep in mind that the games look a lot more impressive on the Deck) and a short article to share our feedback on our experience. Enjoy your reading!

Released in early access on January 16, Assetto Corsa EVO has so far received mixed reviews on Steam, but the initial player reception having been disappointing, we decided to postpone our own video coverage. Feedback seems more positive now, but like all projects in the works, there's still a lot of content to add and fine-tuning to be done before the game is finished and can join the previous two installments on the driving simulation podium. In the meantime, we invite you to take a look at all the locations available in the current version of the game, at the wheel of first-class vehicles only. For capture purposes, the game was configured in 4K, ultra settings and DLSS Quality.

We're back with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle thanks to GeForce NOW Ultimate and again, we can showcase the beautiful rendering of the game thanks to path tracing. This time, we opted for DLAA, which is obviously more demanding on an RTX 4080, but NVIDIA's GPU holds up pretty well outside of cutscenes (even when exploring the more open areas of the Vatican). This time, we chose a very Indiana Jonesey sequence to underline even more that MachineGames perfectly nailed this new adaptation of the franchise. This is clearly a game we recommend to all the Indiana Jones enthusiasts out there.

GSY Video Xbox Series X PC

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PC and we have captured some gameplay that we can now share with you. Inside, you will find a first video on Xbox Series X, but another on PC should follow as soon as possible. As you probably know, most of the reviews have been overly positive and it's true that this feels like the proper way to handle an Indy game. What do you think?
Update: GeForce NOW Ultimate video added (with path tracing).

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown had a pretty tough release due to the many connection problems players have encountered, preventing them from playing. Sadly, contrary to the first two games in the series, there is no offline mode available and neither the dev team or Nacon have said anything about its possible addition in the future. An importance server maintenance occurred this morning so some of the problems should be fixed but we'll need to wait for the first major update (coming soon) to see if the other issues have been addressed. Performance and optimization fixes will hopefully be part of the package as even the RTX 4080 of GeForce NOW Ultimate seems to struggle with framerate from time to time. We recorded some more gameplay footage of the game to show you, so join us inside and check it out.

Let's now take a look at Star Wars Outlaws on GeForce NOW Ultimate as the PC version can take advantage of more advanced technology such as DLSS Direct Illumination, which is close to path tracing, and DLSS ray reconstruction. DLSS DI is sometimes quite taxing though, in some specific spots at least, so it should (and will?) be improved. For some reason, compared to the last Alan Wake 2 video we posted here almost a year ago, our ping went over the roof yesterday.

With all the games which have come out since Star Wars Outlaws and the coverage we've had to take care of, we haven't been able to make good use of the two codes Game Science kindly sent us when Black Myth: Wukong launched on August 20. It's also true we ere unavailable for some time because of the summer holidays, and for that, we apologize. We'll have some PlayStation 5 coverage as soon as possible but for now, we'll start with the PC version on GeForce NOW Ultimate. We might make another one with optimized settings if we can find the time. On a side note, it's crazy to think that the game has sold 18 million copies so far. Hats off!

Space Marine 2 is obviously quite a demanding game on PC, so for those of you who do not wish to spend their hard-earned money on a powerful PC, NVIDIA's GeForce NOW Ultimate is probably the way to go. The service doesn't come cheap of course, but it's less far less expensive than buying a recent config.

Until davton can find the time to put up a direct feed video of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II running on an RTX 4090, why not take a quick stroll in HDR via GeForce NOW? The downloadable video is only available in HDR but if you have the proper screen, it should look pretty nice. Enjoy!

Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn't run perfectly on all platforms as even PC players seem to be struggling with the game, especially in cities where cpu load is way too heavy. We thought NVIDIA's streaming service could be the way to go for those who can't afford a recent machine, but in our experience it hasn't really been satisfactory. Of course, it might be due to our Internet connection, which is maybe not stable enough to provide a smooth experience, but it's hard to be sure NVIDIA or Capcom are not too blamed. Since Enshrouded runs like a charm with GeForce NOW, we think our connection is fine, but well... What is odd is that, with an RTX 4080, gameplay should be perfectly smooth in the countryside according to what many people say, but it hasn't been for us for some reason. Moreover, DLSS does not seem to work well with grass and small vegetation in general, giving the game a softer look than it should. Now again, when streaming a game, image quality can also be affected by the connection speed, so it should also be taken into account, but our previous testing of the service was really good in that regard so we're a bit surprised. Anyway, we wanted to share a couple of gameplay videos with you so here they are. Don't worry if you want to see the game run natively on a high-end PC, davton will soon put up his own footage, just be a bit patient.
